These are some off the best false cuts I've ever seen. Most false cuts have so much going on that it immediately gives the impression that the performer can do whatever they want with the cards, which slightly breaks the audience's feeling of fairness. Not that this necessarily ruins or gives away anything, but even if they can't tell what's going on, they know something just happened that they couldn't follow. With how simple and clean these are, they should be a staple for anyone who uses cards. The last one, though, should be practiced quite a bit in front of a mirror or camera. It takes a lot of work to make a pass look convincing and natural without twisting your hands into a position that covers up the dirty work. Well done, sir, and thank you for displaying these techniques for everyone.
8:13 is the highest value lesson i have ever learned in magic.
😂same
Haha 🤣
I'm glad I tuned in for this one - the mention of the bend in the deck for the pass in that last cut just made my pass so much better (and less painful for my pinky)!
Wow, this video is so good, it made me instantly subscribe your channel.
I am a magician myself for decades and I can hardly remember having seen a better lecture about false cuttings than yours!
Not only do you show the most easy to do - and at the same time being very effective - false cuts, but you also even talk about the important psychological aspects of false cuts.
That´s really great!
I wish you a lot of success in your future life!
Thanks, Alex. Very smooth.
So simple and so effective. It's absolutely incredible
This was the first vid I watched from him!
Alex, I love the 1st & 2nd one I can't do the last one. I have short fingers. . .
Same here! I've tried to use my Pinkie under the top portion where you have the break and then the ring and middle finger on top of the top portion squeezing the cards together, then as the top deck clears the bottom portion bring your first finger in under the portion you're pulling away from the top to keep the deck square and together! Takes some getting used to but it helps us short finger gang! lol
You can try to use Bridge size cards. These have shorter edges so I usually recommend this cards to short finger or little hands magicians. You can do it!
Its not that your hands are small, it’s the muscle memory on your forearm and fingers
4 years Im doing magic; and you're helping me to take me to a whole next level ;))
MIND = BLOWN ..thanks, Alex!! Can't wait to perfect these.
Oh yeees, I love false cuts :D

Just what I was looking for this week, Alex. Thanks! Feedback- the background noise, while crickets are nice for relaxing on the balcony, were a bit distracting.

Thanks Alex. Good job. I bought the Brick Pass DVD many years ago. I hear a rooster and bugs like cicadas in the background. Reminds me of Tennessee.
Super good moves: clean and Easy. The top
The false cuts are cool and all but the best piece of advice is probably "But in your mind; you don't want to say that out loud 'cause that gives it away" at 8:17... Oh, so that's why I missed my effects each and every time, hehehe. Ok, ok, just kidding, false cuts are one of the elementary magic weapons to keep well polished and always ready in your mental gibeciere. Good video and great content as always. Have a great day!
Wow innovative false cuts .Great video :-)
Love your channel. And I'm old school lol. Hope u will post three false shuffles next! Tx bro
Nice false cuts, ill try and use each one!
lol I even fool my own eyes with the second one! nice
Thank you
thanks for this Video
Best camera
I was wondering what I should do with the ability to split the deck into both hands with the pass, but ofcourse I should do a false cut! I use it to ”explain” how to ”shift” two cards (doing it face up), since the pass makes it look they melt through eachother. This was waaaay more logical. (However, the jaws dropping is nice too... but a 1t pony) - so thxAlex, you rock.
Pro. My friend.. This helped me no end.. thank you sir. A1
I am your big fan....
Love from india
Me to

Illusion false cut 😍
Lol 😝 It sounds like there is a family of 🦗 living in the 🎤 Love your videos Pandrea!
I'm just now seeing this. I have actually stumbled upon a false cut like this on my own. Not sure if it has been done before but its one way you have not mentioned and its super easy but looks more like a cut. I would like to show you but I'm unsure how.
Awesome sir
Love your T-shirt Fig.65 from The Expert At The Card Table, where did you found it?
Keep on the amazing work you do bro
I love psychology, so this trippy casual cuts are incredibly satisfying to me, since the eye can't follow them
thanks a lot
Thanks for showing your false cuts. Alex””
Thanks for these! Where was this? W/those crickets or w/e, wow loud. But you spoke plenty loud enough though!
In love with the 60 fps
Will you do some tutorials for more intermediate levels? Much love
Very nice
Thank Alex this will help me fool my friends
u really is a great help idol! T.T
Keep doing what your doing because you help us
Nice bro
I had to watch how you nearly 100’s times to see it. Now 1000 tries for my hands and brain to barely recreate it
When I rank my top 3 card magicians of all time….Alex Pandrea always makes the list in one of the three spots…..no joke, this guy is better than he portrays himself and you’d be hard pressed to find somebody with as much skill in Most of the sleight categories all together!!
Do a tut on your favorite false shuffles!!
I do the last false cut, but using the Hermann Pass.
These three cuts are great for when you spot someone eyeing the bottom card and they then tell you to cut the deck after placing your chosen one on top. ;) To see their face drop immediately when they see their key card is still on the bottom in a nice feeling.
Idk how to do a pass but managed to learn em all
These 3 are amazing buy I do the bad dub false cut by x cause I get to show-off charlier cut.lol
I'm really liking a John bannon false cut called double Dutch atm. A nice and far more deceptive descendent of the ose false cut. Super low difficulty but looks like it must mess up the deck.
Rather than state the "obvious" such as "& now I shall cut the cards..." what I tend to do is *ASK* do you want me to cut or shuffle or both, then it's established in their mind that's what I'm doing beforehand. But I do also do the slow & deliberate thing & ask them afterwards if that shuffle/cut/both was fair which you demonstrate too, it kinda depends on how I'm feeling. - [& yes they do always say it's fine] - I do agree however that stating it is both unnecessary & bad & I also agree that when I first began I used to do it too but the more time you spend in front of a mirror or filming yourself the more you get to break down & remove anything clunky & pointless.
I think I will only use the last one of your 3 to add to my repertoire though TBH anyway. Because I do have a great classic pass & thus was able to do it instantly & then kicked myself for not thinking of it myself...LOL. I don't like the in hand look much though so I'll use it for table work or use a spectator's hand to do it on in place of a table.
thank you! as a beginner, it made me feel more confident in my magic to be able to fool the audience.
love the shirt
That shirt is awesome
Dude your pass is like lightning!
Great video man !! Outro ??
would you do 2 of the false cuts in a row, like your 3rd one then the 1st one or vice versa or is doing 2 a bad idea
Прикольно, главное самому не запутаться
Man this is crazy
Nice
Nice vid
That last one in particular is devious! Where are these from?
I believe that first false cut was created by Bobby Bernard (it was published in Roberto Giobbi's Card College 1994). The other two IDK.
in hands false shuffles would be cool, however i do realise that a lot of magicians have different variations and prob wouldnt want there ideas shared, heinstein, gray, truffle shuffle being some examples
Yes, I believe credit for that first false cut goes to its inventor, Bobby Bernard (published in Roberto Giobbi's Card College 1994).
Gr8 video

Lol, I somehow fooled myself while doing the first one. Had to pause to make sure I didn't actually cut it.
