      Haha yes so I’ve been told. Some people don’t want to hear the splitter some do. But yes next time no music.

    two observations...I would use the log lifter to lift those large rounds up...secondly you can increase productivity by splitting the round then placing the splits halves back together and turning them through 90 degrees and running them through again..that way it takes only 2 passes to get 4 logs out..rather than placing the split segment to the side then doing it individually...the knife is tall but you are only using part of its height on your second cuts..

      lol. We usually do turn 90 but I guess it depends on the day. For the large rounds I don’t really consider those large. Check out my 4413 videos. Those are what I call large rounds.

    Sorry to say, but the music was terribly obnoxious! Maybe you chose it to drown out the high pitch of the motor. It did not work, I’d rather hear the motor than both!

      @@willowcreekwoods thank you. I would be very interested in seeing the machine when you post it. Please let us know about the speed of it compared to your 2265 and if the motor is louder or the same. What made you decide to step up so far in machine choices, rather than something Like the 34XX series? If I am correct I think the main benefit, if that, is the 44XX series has a stronger frame. I’m just surprised as to such a big jump up, unless you felt the need.
      Thank you.

    Nice machine. Curious if you know what size pump it has with that electric motor?

      I talked to split fire and they told me the specs.
      The pump on the 2265E is Bailey 2-stage.
      It flows 7GPM at 3600rpm.

      @@willowcreekwoods Thanks a lot for all of the info. Sure seems like a nice quick cycle time for such a small pump.

    Why the two different cutting surfaces on the movable blade? Would you say the splitter was worth every penny or would you do something different?

    • @willowcreekwoods
      @willowcreekwoods  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Worth every penny. Love this splitter. I don’t understand your different cutting surfaces on the blade question. This splitter you can spit both directions so you need it sharp on both sides.

    • @rottiejakeluke
      @rottiejakeluke Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@willowcreekwoods what i don’t know, if there’s a difference or reason, but if you take a straight edge against the blade and go from the bottom at the surface where the log lays and toward the top,you see the blade is not as wide (side to side) as the bottom part. This may or may not be for a reason. Hope this clarifies my question. Sorry for any run on sentences.

      If I had a sketch it would be clear. I drew one up and photo copied it in “camera”. Then went to photos, clicked on the pic and chose the “copy” option. However when I went to “paste” it here it would not do the paste action. Sorry about it, no worries.

    Love the machine. What was the reason for getting the electric motor vs gas? Please let me know your open and hones opinion of it? Had you any interface with the company? If so, please tell.

    • @willowcreekwoods
      @willowcreekwoods  Před 9 měsíci +2

      We went with the electric just so you don’t have to listen to it scream the whole time your splitting. And the neighbors don’t have to listen to it also. The little interaction that I’ve
      had with split fire has been great. Just checking on order and other splitter’s for friends on different sizes. Even people asking questions here on CZcams I’ve asked the company and they always reply. They seem to be an awesome company. I have never had any issues with my splitter either.

      It seemed to hesitate more than gasoline engine models. Where do they ship from? I was wondering about shipping cost to 75645. Thanks for the video.

    • @willowcreekwoods
      @willowcreekwoods  Před 5 měsíci +1

      @ChuckisOutside they come from Canada. Shipping I guess I didn’t think it was to bad. And It maybe a 2 stage pump so when you see hesitation, it’s just switching speeds. Love the splitter and just bought another one which I got a 4413.
