This game is pretty fucking good so far (on world 3)
i ran into a few bugs and things that seem leftover from early development, but i really love the "wear your inspiration on your sleeve, rip everything off, be trashy and own it" vibe, and the slavic club music obviously bops. The UI on the map of world 2 threw me for a loop, i honestly love everything about this. In some regards it's very time and place, but in other ways i feel like the selections of what is referenced is also very timeless. Anything i do recognize is also mixed in with a bunch of shitty nokia and flash games no one has ever heard of so it's almost reference for reference sake at some point and fuck dude this is great. Might be my favorite platformer to come out so far this year

Gosh?? I remember being the live where everyone first started to yell and joke about mariobama and joking along the whole idea of a video game. Now seeing Ceda Cedovic come to life at last is like seeing a beloved Son Boy after years... congrats on the game and I'm super glad it came together like it did!!!

I am pleased that my video stuck inside your mind (probably for the wrong reasons lol) enough for you to create a level of it in your game. I love my alien and also my dvd writing software blocks as walls!
@@cuej02 I'm glad you like it. It was fun to do the art for the stage. The aliens in particular were fuckin weird to make in pixel art but it worked out well. I've seen your video over a decade ago, so this conversation has been a surreal experience.
Also, Ceda himself is just a character I made up when I was 13 and brought back over a decade later for this game, so it all comes together I suppose.

Unrelated, but i just dreamt that I was Čeda Čedović but as a teenager having a party in some weird ass school. In the other rooms, brightly colored furries were also throwing a party. The architect was also there, but he was wearing a necklace with a cross on it that was making him corrupt or some shit. He ends up murdering me and I come back as a revenant to haunt him for his sins. Why did I even dream this i will never know
