I even do this when playing other music apps wether they’re AUV3 or IAA , video recording that too. This is AWESOME!
With caustic3 i had to do lots of extra steps with other apps (record, extract wav, replace to the app folder) to do this. Thank you to add "import video" button. Really helpful.

Love the app. So that brings it into the individual song but is there a way to efficiently store a sample and use it in another song or put together a library of samples I can select from for future projects? I use an iPhone. Thanks.
this is pretty genius feature. so simple makes you wonder why other software does not allow this. reason alone to buy the app.

I had a sp 404 mk2 since several months , but at the end l I sold it one week ago ! I only use koala as my main pad sampler instrument ! No need a sp 404 at all with this app and the help of koala fx and others fx , inside AUM l this is just a bomb
I’ve just listed my MPC Live 2 for sale and was considering the sp404mk2. I use ableton mainly with a push 2 but wanted something portable to mess about with and sketch out ideas on the go. I downloaded Koala ages ago and thought I would have another go - wow. It’s now replaced all that other gear and having my phone on me at all times allows for some spontaneous field recording chops.

I got a s10+ and my koala has sound issue, sometimes when i reopen it the sounds gets loud, or a sample wont play sound and i have to close and reopen, its kinda glitchy but over all cool app. 👍🍻

@@combofriend4461 option is called SCREEN RECORDER , you have to add it to the shortcuts at top of the phone ( same place you sweep to activate wifi or blutooth) if it doesnt appear you have to click on the "pen" at bottom left of this drop down menu and select it to appears in the shortcuts there .

Weird, all I get when I import the video is that 1-2 second “now recording” Apple sound effect, and not the remaining video (audio) content.

Hello to my fellow Koalas!
(New Android phone user here)
My microphone is still picking up audio while I record in screen record. Also I need to figure out how to CORRECTLY setup proper audio importing from my Android phone, it seems I may need an APP to help. I am starting from scratch as far as trying to fully understand software setup and configuration. Does anyone have any tips?

when you choose screen record, it should give you three options, 1) none 2)media 3)media and mic. i suspect yours might be on the third one. just pick the second one and you should be good to go. If that option doesn't pop up then long hold on the actual screen record button and under screen recorder you should see sound and if you tap that those same three options will pop up. it might be on media and mic by default, just switch it to media.

I think you can if your keyboard has class compliant drivers, then you wont need to install software on the ipad for it to work as a controller.

same method here on s21 ultra, if your phone doesn't have a built in screen recorder use an app that screen records
But the audio is taking audio from the mic. It doesn't sound clear

Isn’t screen recording mono only?
It depends on your phone and os. Some cheaper androids with older android versions are mono or don’t even record the audio but most androids it’s stereo, and all iOS devices it’s stereo
Are you still able to do this? I thought Apple removed apps that let you sample audio from youtube? I think there was an auv3 app that let you sample audio from youtube but then it vanished from the app store.
@@TheGreatPanicker I was mistaken seems like the normal apple screen record will record stereo audio; albeit it's most likely lossy

After buying this app it seems more iPhone friendly. Very disappointing.
It indeed was native on iOS but I guess they are working hard on bringing it to android full fledged!
