Having an amazing healthy emotional loving connection with a first love or with someone who was only meant to be in your life for a short period of time is heartbreaking but it is also a learning experience to not settle for anything less than you desire. I was diagnosed with leukemia 4 years ago, and the side effects of my medication drugs took a toll on me. I got tired & fed off with everything & suffered so much body pains, depression, anxiety & all sorts of physical fatigue & many other things. I just wanna give up & decided to just commit suicide. I was about to swallow a whole box of my medication pills. I was starting to write my suicide note while playing this song. But Leann Rimes help me got through it. By the end of this song, I just cried & cried until I fell asleep on the floor. I woke up a few hours later to the knock of my sister & as soon as I opened the door, I hugged her so tight & she had no idea why..I felt so guilty at the back of my mind that I almost left her. She was just a teenager that time & I realized what trauma it would cost her if she ever finds me dead in a horrible condition in my room. I’m happy to say that I am now in Remission & I was able to overcome my anxiety & depression. My hematologist has cleared that I am now cancer free.

This song brings out emotions that I hide away, but think of the memories from time to time. I lost my beautiful mama to Alzheimers two years ago today. I was her caregiver and I watched helplessly as she slipped further and further away. Sometimes, I felt so desperate, praying that somehow she would always remember me and the love we shared. In the end, her vacant stares told me a different story…of how scared and lost she was.
