  • Bypass plungers, also known as continuous flow plungers, have a bypass valve that opens at the top of the tubing and closes when it reaches the bottom, enabling it to fall against flow so that the well can continue production as the plunger works. This plunger makes more trips with faster fall times, delivering continuous fluid removal with little or no shut-in time.
This is a great application for high-volume or flowing wells because it allows a well to continue production as it works, so you will frequently see an improvement in production. Typical production rates for continuous flow plunger applications are wells that can produce over 300mcf/d and/or fluid rates from 5-300blp/d.
Typically these methods are applied on gas wells with high gas liquid ration (GLR). Minimize downtown and stabilize flow rate with Flowco's patented ByPass Plungers.
