Chris, i love your videos! I started using logic because of dolby atmos. Can you do a walkthrough for groups, stacks and busses with the lil nas spatial audio template? that would be great!

Chris, thanks for all of the work you have put into this series. I am coming from a Cubase Pro background of over 20 years. I have not watched all of the content, however I will. Here is something that I may be missing or that it may just be done differently in Logic Pro. When I setup a group in Cubase I can route whatever tracks I want to that group which has a fader associated. It allows me to do compression, effects, volume for all of the tracks in the group. I logic I have not figured out if you can add a single buss compressor to a group or not. Is there a way to do that or will I just need to re-train my brain? At 62 retraining a brain can be challenging.
I have been using the series to setup my first template so that I can start recording without having to build the session each time.
Thanks again for this series. It has been extremely helpful.

Great stuff! Curious, though…Why a VCA instead of sending various tracks to a bus, instead of stereo output?
    Thanks 😊

VCA’s and bus groups are essentially the same, as they both control the level of all tracks being sent to them. The only difference is that busses can be processed with additional plugins, whereas VCA’s cannot. I don’t believe there’s any difference in sound, it’s more a matter of preference and the reasons behind using a group fader in the first place. If you simply want to control level, then use VCA. If you want to do group processing, then use bus.

@@nathanrantala4799 Thanks for the thorough answer. i'm starting to put together a template for the first time, so trying to get my head around the options. From what you've said, i might as well ignore VCA. Never know if it'd be useful to strap some effect or other across the entire group, and using VCA would completely prohibit doing that.

I created a project and all the tracks have audio, you can see it but nothing is getting to the stereo out. It wasn’t this way before, can you tell me the problem???
