A Cylinder Musical Box Serial No.35184.
This musical box is Lever wound and plays 8 tunes.
It has Tune Indicator to let you know which tune is playing.
There is quitter a bit of past woodworm holes in the case,
But does not look to be live [but worth treating of course].
IT DOES NOT STOP AT END OF TUNE,
but keeps playing so needs minor attention to stop.
[It can be stopped easily by hand of course on the governor fly].
It does not have the original coloured tunesheet listing all the tunes,
But there is a hand-written note giving 4 tune titles, but I do not recognise 2 of these:-
Abide with Me.
Onward Christian Soldiers.
In the Sweet By and By.
In the Bleak Midwinter.
[I did recognise, Pull for the Shore and Ring the Bells of Heaven]
There are 42 teeth in the comb and 1 tip appears to be missing.
The case is 48cm long, the cylinder is 15 cm.
It plays reasonably for an un-restored instrument.
I would prefer collection, but it can be sent at your cost and risk.
This instrument has now sold, but I may have another available,
Or extra music new or old to play on such an instrument.
