@Justin Blaze Draxx oh nice comments. The zerg is smaller then the tyrids but more agile. The tyrids are huge so they need suck planets dry, the zerg need just 1 drone to make a big hive. The zerg can create many smaller army to equal tyrid attack force. Doesn't take long to take a planet.

@Justin Blaze Draxx I'm pretty sure in canon lore, the more "complex" the mutations become, the more difficult it is to replicate. So they could do it, but not in such a massive scale like they do now.

it'll be awesome if you would also include the animals the zerg consumed, like the hydralisk was once what people called caterpillar cows and then later infused with the swarm or like the leviathans that were once space-borne creatures before being infested by the zerg, turning them into armored carriers.

@@hunterlong1820 Oh yes give me 2571th same space marine chapter :)
I always liked both starcraft and warhammer, people should stop putting them into same category, because they are completely different.
They are different stories about different things, told in completely different ways. To best experience starcraft is to play it yourself. To best experience warhammer is to watch youtube hours long videos and read books.
Starcraft is more of a continous story, you are at all important events.
Meanwhile in warhammer you just hear that something happend 30k years ago, it focuses more often at small events in far bigger universe than that of sc.
People look that there is power armor and zerg are like tyranids and asume starcraft is same thing, which it is not. No more than starwars are like startrek...
I suggest to play starcraft yourself. Probably start from the starcraft II because sc1 is very old and difficult, but both are free and 100% worth trying out. If you played a lot of dawn of war 1 you may try sc1... but it is far more difficult of a game than dawn of war.

The Zerg imo is the ultimate biological race very often compare to the Tyranids from 40k as they were first intended to be the Tyranids back when SC was supposed to be a 40k game. The Tyranids gets outmatched in almost every aspect when compared to the Zerg. The 2 main resons ppl tend to use to justify Tyranids being stronger is there numbers but thats just a lazy way to amp up 40k as a whole becouse of the universes size and not the races power in itself. And the 2nd that the Shadow in the Warp ability would cut off the hive mind link the Zerg have. That ability cuts off the link betwinn the user and the warp but the Zerg hive mind dont have anything to do with a warp based link/communication so that ability would be useless vs the Zerg. The Tyranids do have a larger unit roster then the Zerg and while they can evolve and adapt there units they are completely outclassed as far as evolution speed compared to the Zerg. Not to mention that every single unit in the Zerg roster have rapid regeneration and if a strong enough zerg mind is near by they can even activate the regeneration process in dead units reviving them on the spot. The Zerg race is far more powerful then they initially seems to be.

    • @BroadwayRonMexico
      @BroadwayRonMexico Před rokem +4

Zerg actually don't much resemble what the Tyranids were at the time Starcraft came out. Most of the similarities people point to (both aesthetic and conceptual) didn't come about til 3rd Edition of 40k, which came out about 6 months after Starcraft (and made the Tyranids considerably more Zerg-like--something 4th Edition doubled down on)
Starcraft wasn't ever going to be a 40k game. It was Warcraft that was supposed to be a Warhammer (Fantasy) game and where things fell through with GW. Some superficial similarities exist, but Starcraft rips more directly from Starship Troopers and Aliens than it does from 40k (which drew from some of the same sources)

@@BroadwayRonMexico I'd be curious if anyone knows where that rumor comes from, I never heard it in my life until a -couple- few* years ago and now I see it almost every time either the zerg or the 'nids are mentioned.
about the only thing I've found on the matter is that it starts showing up all over the place around when battlefleet gothic came out (a warhammer space-RTS) but that is a loose association at _best_ that I'd be suspicious to even call correlation let alone causation.

Instead of a well written villain like the overmind whose motivation was, envy towards the xelnaga and protoss(they were clearly more advanced than zerg, they basically ate energy hence no mouths), a sense of superiority over the terrans or anyone else, like he was some sort of Hitler, he displayed "human" emotions, which any conscious race had, (protoss aeon of strive, the hated each other, terrans civil wars) so basically sc1 presented racism, and very explicit for instance, dark templar holocaust, and how they escaped aiur to shakuras. I didn't like how there was a mismatch between Zerg lore and the storyline. Basically the Zerg were supposed to be ever limited by the flesh. But in-game, they are ALREADY at the Hybrid level, performing beyond expectations. Both in story and in-game, the Zerg were written as a 2nd race, but they outshine the other races so hard to become the master race - or the most powerful playable race - whereas the Protoss or Xel'Naga would in-turn be elevated to become the unplayable race of gods. I would have re-written Starcraft with a TWIST - the Xel'Naga were Protoss the whole time. Who could even utilize Hybrids as weapons. Yep - basically Hybrids would just be Zerg with expanded powers. So there you have it - my version of things - Xel'Naga were really Protoss and the Zerg grew/developed to become Hybrids. So Terran-Zerg-Protoss would by the end of Legacy of the Void be rewritten to realize their destiny, powershifted to be Terran-Hybrid-Xel'Naga. As in, they'd still retain their names Terran-Zerg-Protoss but 2 of the 3 races would "awaken"/"unlock".
This approach would have saved all the brainstorming needed to come up with Xel'Naga. There would even be no need for fusing of 2 races to form Hybrids to repeat the cycle. Zerg would simply just "awaken"/"unlock" into Hybrids. Protoss would "awaken"/"unlock" to become Xel'Naga. No new races required. Then the cycle restarts and new Primal Zerg would be seeded, new Aeon of Strife started with a band of outcast Protoss who start from the ground up.

2:33, wtf this is not the lore of st1!? What are u guys telling. The xel'naga created the protoss amd zerg not just one dude.
4:35, no the overmind didnt psyonicly lure these warp space travelling allien. The zerg didint have psyonic capabilities back then. It was by pure luck. Being able to go in space they attacked and assimilated the xel'naga ship present to watch them.
The overmind, became somewhat psyonicly adapted, but the real consequence was that he learned how and why they were created. So that's why he went to the Terran's system. To absord psyonic capable terran to adapt to counter/fight equal fight to protoss. Did you guys played/watch starcraft 1? They did not search for protoss, they already know were they were, not there homeworld thought.
8:23, still again untrue, it's litteraly the story campaign of the zerg in starcraft 1, thats why he created kerrigan, to test a new way to infest/evolve . To mach essence and form (source, starcraft 1 game manuel). In the game, the writter make more vague, cause they didint know if they were going with that rout 100% (brood war, was total improvisation I think) and for st2 it did so many retcon, it's not cannon, it's so lazy and bad writting.

The SC2 story butchered the Xel’Naga and Zerg lore.

Great video. Sad to see the original Starcraft lore get so dumbed down and "marketable" in Starcraft 2 wit the lazy Xel'naga Ex Machina and the stupid pretentious relativization of everything. (Legacy of the Void was so lazy there wasn't even a story to speak of). Kerrigan was a more complex and interesting character, the Overmind and the Cerebrates, the three-side war, the different factions bickering whitin said war... Oh Blizzard, I miss the old days...

I'd be more curious about the heels to be honest, the woman is the sort of practical that would genuinely weigh her options when given a choice between getting shot right before going into a mission or having to wear heels for the duration of that mission and yet somehow when she has direct control over the composition of every cell in her body she gives herself in-built anklebreakers.
the nonsense "blade wings" actually make some sense: she uses them as a focal array for psionics but they never even hint at a purpose for the heels aside from crippling her and throwing off all of her internal mechanics just like they would on a pair of shoes.
