This is one of the nicest virtually original Galaxie 500's I have ever viewed on the web, it is in concours condition, if desired it could be entered in a judged show preservation class as there is some expected age related wear like the mylar door trim and dry cracked rubber seals. It could probably win. I have not seen this car in person. Seller did a great job with photos and video. Yes not the most powerful or desirable model but is one to be very proud of, the previous owners did a great job with the refurbishment. The original owner chose a 3.5 axle and 4 speed so he was interested in performance and the chassis is the same as the 427 cars. The air cleaner and valve cover appear to the correct greenish gold. A hard to duplicate color. The transmission was not painted and the blue used is a later engine color.
JUST NEEDS WHITEWALLS AND FENDER SKIRTS TO MAKE IT POP AND STAND OUT. BEAUTIFUL BODY STYLE WITH LOTS OF CHROME

I don’t know why everybody thinks these are the biggest cars ever. It’s literally 3 inches longer than a 67 GTO.
Nice but that 390, 4 spd still couldn't run with the big dogs, I had the exact 390 eng with 4 spd in a 1963 Ford Galaxy 500......big, comfortable and heavy, but I never won many drag races with it.
