One of Deadpool's confirmed superpowers is that he knows he is a fictional character and can break the 4th wall. He's read his enemies' comic books to find out how to beat them. It's amazing. He is also what we term an 'antihero', kind of like the Punisher: he fights the bad guys, but usually with similar methods, which makes them seem much less heroic. Fighting fire with fire, as it were.
Ryan Reynolds has said that he felt destined for this role after seeing in one issue of Deadpool where DP describes himself as looking like Ryan Reynolds after being bitten by a radioactive Shar-Pei. It's perfection.
That big metal guy is one of the strongest X-Men: Colossus, who can turn his skin into organic steel. He's also very much a goody-goody in the comics.
Also, in the comics as opposed to how it happened in the MCU: Thanos was doing what he did with the Infinity Stones to impress Lady Death, the personification of Death in the Universe, but she turned him down because she had the hots for Deadpool lol.

FYI, Deadpool 2 is one of those rare examples where a sequel is as good as the original so YES PLEASE !

This movie is a mastertpiece. At second watch you realise he's asking where Francis is to his men and they know him as ''Ajax'' so nobody tells him where to find him because they don't know who ''Francis'' is, so he basically kills them for nothing. And the ''rhymes with Polverine''...Hilarious🤣

I think it's just something that you don't notice at the time and when someone points it out, it sounds right and you go with it.

And that's why he leaves him for last. He could have gone after him first and found him. So he really kills all the rest for basically nothing.

Although you've made a couple bad assumptions... that he knew where to find "Smith" off the bat (maybe he didn't change his Phone number and it WOULD have been easy)... and that killing off all the goons didn't screw over "Evil Corps", although he really should have been running into loads of "Created Mutants" during his Rampage.

I don’t know if I’m expressing this coherently, but essentially what I’m saying is most people with search their entire lives without ever meeting someone that connects with them on that level. Don’t ever take it for granted.
i love seeing people fall in love with deadpool. hes my favorite marvel character and ryan reynolds plays him perfect in my opinion. they dont explain it in the movie and his continuity is a little fucky, but his healing factor is so strong it produces extra cells, killing the cancer, or healing him as it forms. and the extra cells are what makes his skin look the way it does.

i was part of the post-production unit working behind the scenes for this film and I was alone at work on Christmas night 2015 which I volunteered to work extra being single then, so I got landed this secret unreleased film without any cgi added. just the raw principal photography and adr and i was screaming in laughter alone at my desk inside the studio and also silently cried a bit amazed at witnessing a film that's making a history and no one else I can breathe a word of to.
I know i was witnessing something special and historic in movie history.
i subsequently worked on all its extras and directors commentary with ryan reynolds, over the next few months, which is another hilarious trip.
I don't know about all this "raw" stuff...I am just here to see Ash say things that get him in trouble with his beautiful and tolerant lady. LOL

For more R rated comic book films, I recommend Watchmen, The Punisher(2004), Blade, Blade 2, Deadpool 2, Logan and Joker. Wade and Vanessa were getting after it with mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving. The big metal guy is a more comics accurate Colossus. Just like in the comics, Deadpool constantly breaks the fourth wall i.e. addresses the audience directly

Deadpool 1 is good, but Deadpool 2 is soooo good, I highly recommend reacted to 2nd one. Deadpool 2 easily 1 of the best superhero films ever, if you class Deadpool as a "superhero" hehe :)

The first time my gal spent the night at my house we watched this film. Deadpool is absolutely one of my favorite movies, superhero or otherwise 🤘

one of the cool things about the scene where hes killing henchmen looking for francis, is that, he's asking for "francis" and no one knows him by that name, they know him by Ajax, so they have no clue whats going on, its only when he ask for their boss, that he gets some info

A little science for dead pools escape. In a pure oxygen atmosphere, thing that would normally be fire resistant basically become fuel. While Deadpool would have probably had trouble getting that match to light, in reality, a nylon hose pumping pure oxygen would really act like a fuse/small blow torch. From a space travel standpoint, it's caused major problems in the past... Apollo 1 comes to mind.

This film is just... everything lands perfectly. It's so tightly constructed, not an ounce of fat to be trimmed, it comes at just the point where everyone seen enough superheroes, but they've not quite outstayed their welcome, and the jokes are just non-stop. For reference, Deadpool is an an antihero in the Marvel comics. Not only does he have his own franchise, he's made countless guest and collaboration appearances with the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, The Defenders, and more. He also has a fanboy/puppy-love type adoration for Wolverine and Spider-Man which explains the in-movie jokes and references to these heroes. Also, Deadpool's personality is unique in that he's silly, politically incorrect, raunchy, perverse, and yet is still ridiculously deadly as a professional assassin, which is exactly how he is portrayed in this movie.
In theater productions, the stage represents three walls of the story realm while the audience is the fourth wall.
Same with TV show sets. The camera is the 4th Wall which Deadpool breaks by speaking directly to it

Deadpool 2 has 3 different versions
1) Theatrical Cut 2) the Super Duper Cut 3) Once Upon a Deadpool (PG version)
I prefer the Super Duper Cut because it has extended fight scenes, plus it's directed by David Leitch 1 half of the john wicks 1 directors

Deadpool's been a favorite Marvel character of mine since elementary. I was in a tiny minority. He's almost like the social outcast of the Marvel world. A little newer too, being created in the 90s. More mature, violent, breaks the fourth wall all the time, not attractive, less marketable, that kinda stuff. Very non-standard superhero/anti-hero. And he NEVER shuts tf up. They call him the "merc with a mouth" in the comics. He's got a dedicated fan base, but nothing like the main guys. So when this came out, I geeked tf out. Never thought I would see it happen.
A little while after Ryan Reynolds did X-Men Origins (butchering of DP by the writers in that btw), he checked out the DP comics, and became a fan. Been trying to get a movie made for the fanbase ever since. Some test footage got leaked of that highway scene in the beginning, and people went crazy. So the studio gave them the funding, and the rest is history. As a Deadpool nut, Ryan did it proper justice. You can tell he's a real fan of the source material, which is a pretty rare thing in Hollywood nowadays! DP 3 can't come out soon enough for me.
Lookin forward to DP 2 man! Cable's another supreme badass. They did him hella justice too, gotta say; perfectly cast. I knew this would be right up your alley. 😁 If you can find the comics online, they're a riot. His team-ups with Wolverine and Spidey HAVE to be adapted.

Re: Negasonic, they had to wheel and deal with Marvel to be able to give her Cannonball’s powers because they just really liked that name. In return, they gave Marvel the rights to Ego the Living Planet from Fantastic Four. That worked out great because James Gunn had no Plan B for GOTG v2.
