@@organicstorm no I don't, that whole no reflection thing was because mirrors used to be made with silver, and that's also the reason they don't appear on film

Build idea: make a house that is as inconvenient as possible i.e. you have to go through the bedroom to get to the living room, or the front door leads to the bathroom

I think the cracks and spiderwebs should have a minus value so when you add them to the house the house will be cheaper since the house is in a worse state.
could be free but not minus value, because the player could abuse to cheat making expensive houses looks cheaper, unless it costs money to clean then during gameplay.

Concentrate thousands of cracks and spiderwebs behind the paintings through the moveobjects cheat in an extremely expensive house to lower the price without actually "adding" the cracks, but the idea is cool though, it would be interesting if it affects the character's moods like (my house is breaking down: from cheap house) unless they have some specific traits.
Kayla should do a "color palette challenge" where instead of only one color, she has maybe 3 to work with. But she has to use either a color wheel or the random color generator. And ALL 3 colors MUST be prominently featured!

So lilsimsie and I have opposite playing styles, she loves to build I dont, she doesn't love vampires I do. However she 100% inspires me! I always come up with my best game play Ideas, like doing a legacy vampire challenge and this is the lot i used but it's all built up a renovated now! I forgot what it used to look like!! Love you kayla!

This lot is one of my favourites,
because while the world is so small, I usually just place 2 small townhouses next to each other on it and then pretend like the world is a little bigger than it normally is.

I mean if the sim is a vampire, they don't need a big kitchen. Really just the fridge and maybe a couple counters. I don't think you need a stove for the plasma fruit salad.
I want like New York style townhomes in the Sims. Like a row of them that are different lots.
For real. The closest thing we have are those brownstone apartment buildings in San Myshuno, and those don't cut it.
I don’t understand why so many pre-made homes in The Sims 4 are so empty to begin with!
So that they run for people with slow computers too :) filling it up with more items means more for the game to process!

Google says she is 5’7 I am 5’8 definitely need a chair/ladder to reach the smoke alarm and lights but I do think most people do this. I think her dad is a decent bit taller than her because she always looks like a shrimp next to him😂

i wish they had that new orleans / french parlor style from the paranormal pack for the vampires pack, i definitely preferred that vibe and would love to see it on a much larger scale than a stuff pack. plus it would be better if forgotten hollow had a misty, swampy area rather than a basic spooky suburban.

I once renovated this exact home to fit a family of 8 siblings, it ended up being about 28k and like 5-6 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. One small extension for the extra full bathroom and a hobby/skill basement accessed via a backyard cellar staircase. Would love to try it again now with all the tiny home furniture and tricks + ladders and bunk beds.

Oh! I feel like it is kind of broken to use the cracks and creeping ivy as replacements for lights or couches. Technically it counts though because that is an object. This might also be one of the rare times that she does not start off by making the house smaller. It is already pretty small lol

I feel like too many people focus on how furnished a starter house is. The point of the starter house is to work up to furnishing it. Which is WAY more than what you get in real life, walking into a first home.

You know what I would really appreciate for realism: instead of it giving you money back for selling the cracks, it charges you a little bit to get rid of them.
i think it could work if they weren't counted as decoration! (for example: if the house hasn't been painted in 30 sim weeks, cracks would start to appear and you could pay for a removal)
I just want you to make a video of you building whatever you want, however big you want, and using whatever packs you want
Hey Kayla, wouldn’t it be cool if you remade this with like 3 townhouses that are all starter-ish budgetwise, using for rent, base game and vampires? That way there would be more households possible in the vampire world (very limited) and the idea is already there kind of. 🤭

You could have used the awning from Get Famous in black, or a half gabled roof with a low slope, for that small roof over the door. Thanks for the f5 hint, also I miss the ability to use a night stand as a dresser, it was in the Sims 3.

Honestly Vampires is the only Game Pack done right. It has lots of gameplay an cool build items. It does something completely new with vampires and does it well.
I expect a full savefile with builds based off the ea restrictions challenge

Getting a tall family member to come over to help is a mood. I've had my brother come over many a time to change a lightbulb or help me display my Funkos on a tall shelf in my room I could only dream to reach. There was even a time that my detergent somehow ended up in the cabinet above the fridge (I mean, really, who uses those cabinets??) And I had to call him to come over in between classes just to get my detergent for me. Living alone and being short don't go well together.

Something that never fails to bother me in the builds other people do is when they don't turn the doors to swing the correct direction. Doors should always open in a way that you face the most open part of the room, so that you're not entering directly into a wall. Example here is the door on the bedroom with the computer desk. The door should swing toward the exterior wall so that you enter into the actual open part of the room. Otherwise, when you enter, you literally have to walk around the door itself to get into the room. Anyway, just a pet peeve. I'm sure neither she nor anyone else really cares.
I like to delete the under part of the stairs and put my Sims desk under there, saves space and still functional
