For the Geno haters 9-8 is good for a team with the worst defense.
I mean, Geno at like 10-11mil last year was fine/good value even if he wasn't playing as well as the year before. But let's not act like the offense didn't completely disappear for entire halves of games, especially over the first half+ of the season when we should have won a lot more games with an easy schedule. I like Geno, just not at 30+mil/yr which he is gonna be due. Now that said, things have changed with Carroll retiring and getting Mcdonald, because we aren't really in a good position draft or cap wise, especially trading away a 2nd for Williams on a failed season. There are a lot of personnel decisions that have to be made about whether they are doing a true rebuild and not just trying to “reload” as Carroll was doing, that will factor into how much value a vet QB like Geno has on either a new (possibly cheaper) roster or a cobbled together mix of expensive vets. I think at this point, we know what we get with Geno, it's up to Mcdonald to decide what direction they are going with team building and how Geno/30mil cap hit fits into that.
The first Ram game I saw a pass called when it should have been a run. From that point on nothing went right so I agree but the fault was as much to blame on the play calls as it was on Geno. A missed FG or Seattle is in the playoffs not that they would have won a playoff game

@@kylelee7140our offense was actually very efficient we were 28th in offensive snaps due to the defense never getting of the feild our efficiency stats were top ten and geno broke the game winning touchdown record in nfl history with 7
@@grimey78 The team has been bad in the redzone(26th redzone scoring percentage) and on 3rd down (23rd last year) for a while now. So it doesn't help when the offense can't stay on the field either which would also contribute to lower ToP and snaps. Neither side was good or at least played up to the talent level, it's just the defense was that much worse. I mean forget overall stats, just look at the box scores of the first half of the schedule, outside of the Lions and Panthers games, the offense did nothing for entire halves of games. We should have had at least 2-3 more wins against the Rams and Bengals (Geno had Charbonnet wide open in the flat on the 4th down for a walk in TD, but stared down Metcalf the whole way and got sacked) and made the playoffs even with the defense playing that poorly. So while the defense was terrible, the offense still underachieved with the amount of talent we have. It's not like they were horrible, but I wouldn't call the offense a success.
Mike will get us 3 or 4 more wins, we'll take the NFC West at 12 or 13 wins.
Seahawks hired this guy because Carroll defense couldn't beat the Niners but while he was with the Ravens was able to beat the Niners.
He needs to develop or draft the players though. Ravens defense have studs

Geno isn’t worth 30 million and he isn’t the guy. His confidence is rocked and half the fan base is done with him. Get someone with a fresh start, who is mobile! Drew Lock can be signed for under 5 million or just go with the best available QB in the draft and keep the rookie salary for 4 years. Bring in Gardener or maybe bring over Tyler Huntley from Baltimore. He is better than anyone in Seattle.

Ravens players love McDonald. He is a great communicator and earns the players respect, Seattle gain our lose here in Baltimore. Our coaching staff is being raided big time . We have two more assistants being offered coordinators jobs

I had hoped they would go with an offensive minded head coach. But things the guy I wanted them to go for if they went defensive minded guys. Hopefully they don’t ignore the offense. If they find a good OC the offense could be very good right away, and McDonald could take a year or two to turn around the defense. And make this team a contender in the next year or two

You can draft QBs in later rounds. It's not 1st round or nothing. See Russell Wilson, Purdy, etc. John will draft a QB, just don't know what round. Geno is a bridge QB.
