I had no idea there was a 4 cylinder option for these. My dad had a 1995 he bought it brand new and it came with the 3100 v6. He kept it for 10 years and put 130,000 miles on it before selling it to his cousin in 2005.

I grew up with these cars all around me used to detail a lot of cars back in the nineties and I've never seen a grand prix with a 4-cylinder that's the Quad 4 they have about 150 horsepower. There was an even slower version it was called the the quad o h c it was a single overhead cam version with a two valve/cyl cylinder head and had about 120 horsepower. I've been reading online and it says that the double overhead cam version has 180 horsepower well that's true but that's only in the high output version that was put into the Beretta GTZ and certain Cutlass calais. The regular Quad 4 the dohc version ranged from 150 to 210 depending on what chassis was put into. For 1990 that's impressive power for a 4 cylinder. There are really harsh really loud they pulled pretty good they're decent power not the Pinnacle by any means.
