    People laughing or saying they don’t understand the purpose of something like this because doing it by hand is “easy,” are clearly lucky enough to have never dealt with physical disabilities, ME/CFS, etc. Assistive devices are amazing for those with disabilities or limited mobility when it comes to maintaining independence. (Lots of the TV infomercials y’all probably also laugh at? Yeah, a lot of those are just assistive devices.)
    Thanks for showing the differences with each model. As somebody with ME/CFS plus arthritis and a wrecked shoulder that isn’t at the point of needing surgery but is impacted by activities of daily living, one of these would be a lifesaver. Looking at the V4, but the newer metal jointed V7 is also intriguing!

    I just got the V4 and was a little confused, lol. This video was excellent and I got the hang of the folding right away, vs the crummy written instructions that came with it. Thank you!

    I have the V2 and love it. I live out a suitcase for 2 weeks at a time and the compact way that I can get my shirts into are great. I was able to go down 1 suitcase size using your handy dandy gadget. Thank you.

    In V3 also you won't need to flip the garment at the end, if you keep the collar part at the bottom side (just like in V2)
    So not much difference between V2 and V3 ideally (in terms of folding).
    It's all about the way you keep your garment face down on the board.

    I almost bought a BL T shirt folder but then I decided to watch videos on how to do clean uniform folds for T shirts, jeans, and sweaters without any t shirt folders. If you learn all the tricks and secrets as to how workers at department stores fold things then you won’t need any tools such as a BL T-shirt folder to fold anything.

    Is there anyone of these that are heavier and more durable feeling? I bought the version 2, but returned it bc I thought it was too flimsy, are they all like that?

  • @Bigheadedwon

    Does anyone know if they even sell extra magnetic backplates? Also I see 10 packs of the boards, but they redesigned them and they don't mention if they're compatiable with the v4. I would assume they are, but they have a big lip on the front now so I don't know if it would fit.

    • @ReviewedByPhil

      It looks like the V4 is sold out at the BoxLegend website, but it's still available at Amazon: geni.us/d2VMzF [Amazon Affiliate Product Link]. There's a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale right now too. The extra organizing trays can be found here: geni.us/Q8YdE [Amazon Affiliate Product Link] and I've added this link to the video description as well.

    • @ReviewedByPhil
      @ReviewedByPhil  Před 2 lety +1

      That's a great question! For garments that are larger/longer than the folder, the instructions say to fold up/in any excess material until it's within the size of the fully opened folder. I can't comment specifically on what a folded up dress would look like when it's done though.

    on the tea shirts. Terrible!!!

    • @nicholem4831
      @nicholem4831 Před 2 lety +1

      @Doves Paligrino
      Seriously? Nobody’s forcing you to use the trays OR the elastics…especially not on your “tea shirts” 🫖 lmao 🤣. It’s not like you’re required to use the device in it’s entirety, EXACTLY as shown 🙄. As with anything- use it however it best suits your needs. Phil (the reviewer in this video) is simply presenting each version,
      demonstrating use, detailing the specs and special features and pointing out similarities/differences as well as any issues/concerns.
      I do agree that in this V4 usage demo, the tray elastics appear as though they’ll leave wrinkles/indentations on certain clothing items over time, and in my opinion, the elastics also appear cumbersome and excessive/unnecessary. With that said, I’m not nearly so naive or self centered as to think that my opinion or circumstances would (or should) apply to EVERYONE. Maybe for some people the need to have the clothing secured to the tray is of a greater need than 100% wrinkle free clothing. I’m also open minded enough to know that someone could even use the trays WITHOUT USING THE ELASTICS….crazy- I know 🤯🤯!! Hell- you could even cut them off if you wanted to. It’s just not that difficult.
      I’d rather have some unneeded bonus accessories (the 3 trays and the stand thingy) and a folding assistant that isn’t going to break with repeated use. If you want to be outraged about something- you should be upset about the solid plastic joints on the V2 and V3 which are guaranteed to break from stress over time, therefore rendering the product useless and requiring the consumer to repurchase their item. Now THAT is truly something terrible.
