Yes it's not on presale today. Razbam have delayed it until the 15th, I think.
razbam hasnt figured out how to do higher than 1080p yet so it's nice to see things in actual hd finally
I'm so excited to fly these in-game. I've been an Avionics Technician for them for about a year now, taking apart the AIUs, FCCs, RWR Package systems, displays (MPDs and HUDs), and more for that entire time and I've never had the opportunity to see them all work as part of the same cohesive system
Wow, all those things that you do... I've just recently discovered the channel and gowd, it's amazing. Wholehearted thanks for all your work!
Thank you, Andrey. Hope you enjoy the content here.
Looking forward to reading your book. And the first engine startup.
We're getting a book along with the F-15E? FUUUUCK YES that's amazing. Thank you so much!
Hope you enjoy it!
Awsome!!!! thnx for the coop and providing this with the preorder
Sedlo’s the man when it comes to making missions! Look forward to what you guys do with this mission and the F15E! Can’t wait to see it! I’m like sitting on pins and needles waiting! Thanks for making this and all your other videos! Really enjoy the work you do!🤙
I'm very much looking forward to reading your book. I've got a feeling there is a lot to learn from it! Still catching up on all your F15E podcasts, so thank you for putting them into a playlist!
My pleasure. Glad you're enjoying them.
Thank you for including the book!!!!!!
Awesome Steve,Thank you
Grateful to receive your book when I’m ordering the module from Razbam. I will definitely check out volume 2, and your other content.
Thank you :)
Thanks for taking us through that mate, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Looking forward to getting to know both of these seats in DCS!
My pleasure!
A unexpected but a welcomed surprise.
Found out about this cool bonus yesterday. Looking forward to the book.
Thank you for the free book! I look forward to reading it...
Looking forward to reading your digital book! Should keep me busy awaiting the module. :)
Hope you enjoy it, Joe.
Will we see Starbaby return and talk about the strike eagle now that the DCS module is close? It would be cool to see him do a walkthrough like he did with the F-4G!
Starbaby unfortunately doesn’t do flight sims or DCS.
@@augiehicks4588 maybe he can help with campaigns ? Like jello does with raven one campaigns for hornet ?
@Harish Rajan from what I understand, his reasoning is he did it right when it counted. It just isn't something he wants to do.
@@augiehicks4588 he commented under one of a recent 10 percent true podcast videos he did that he will do a F 15E cockpit video. Forgot the channel he mentioned it will be on though.
Spheren, I think that you've already had an answer from the community, and they are correct that it's not something that SB wants to get involved in. Sorry.
Only one hardcover left, hopefully more will be available to order - this book looks amazing. Can't wait for the module either. Thanks!
Edit: Great presentation of the cockpit, absolutely loved all the information and it was very well edited. Looks amazing.
Great feedback, Jørgen. Thanks!
I may end up reprinting Part 1, but for the immediate future it will only be available as a digital product.
In the meantime, you can register here and I will keep you updated on both Part 1 and Part 2: www.10percenttrue.com/beafraidofthedark
Thank You!
Love it Steve. Can't wait to read the book and can't wait for @sedlo_sim's mission!
Sedlo's mission is going to kick arse!
Boy oh Boy this is going to be a treat in VR 😎
Be cool to see what sort of duel joystick hotas setups people come up with as strike eagle Rios.
Hey Steve, thanks for your book. I've already have some of your books on F-15 units in Combat, and this book, available for free, will certainly add for mission building and immersion.
Thanks, SloppyDog. I hope it provides some useful background information.
nice! Looking forward to read the book!
Thanks, Juan.
Steve, it looks like the podcast/channel is getting hooked into the DCS world via the Razbam module. I cannot imagine a more perfect audience for your stuff! I hope the popularity just explodes. The quality of your content deserves it.
Cheers, David. This is really just a little foray into the DCS world in order to help spread the word about the forthcoming F-15E module - no plans at the moment to make it a permanent thing.
@@10percenttrue Just introducing your content to the DCS community should feed a TON of new viewers/listeners/readers to you.
Awesome video. Happy to be new subscriber
Can't wait for this to be out. I worked on these at lakenheath 96 to 99 and probably launched starbaby out a few times. Hope we get to choose tail numbers. It would be epic to have old girls tail number in the sim
im gay now
@@wesley_sama3900 ok who tf asked?
@@wesley_sama3900 ya you are
That's a clever pitch ladder!
Yeah, really good UX design long before UX design was ever a thing.
Presale is F(eb)-15
based
Great video, very cool information and presentation. Finally some footage of gameplay with the camera moving. It was pretty weird to see the camera always locked looking like something was being hidden.
elaborate
@@chronichurdle1802 the view was stuck to the front of the cockpit whereas in this video they are using headtracking
@@spooky5057 Ah makes sense, I too like how much this channel shows it does seem more natural
Good stuffn
Steve just so you’re aware RAZBAM has delayed the pre order date to the 15th.
It’s simply an act of great meme-ery…… 2 weeks TM 😉
Wonder if you and BD can design campaigns based on your interactions with the WSO and pilots of the strike eagle ! It would be awesome something like the raven one campaigns.
Stay tuned...
I understand everything I am in the Israeli air force and working on F15I ra am
I didn't notice if it was mentioned but I don't see RWR anywhere, not even on MPDs.
What can I say? Cool. A big W.A.G. on my part but I'd say the DCS community has a notable presence here. I was only mildly interested in this one (they are all so complex; don't have the time to learn the ones I have now!) - until the StarBaby series, FWIW.
BTW, loved "Red Eagles" - good friend of mine flew against them (C-model driver) and sent me the book a couple years ago. Of course I already _had_ a copy (he didn't know that and I didn't know he had flown against them; hush-hush and all back then)
Nice!
Would it be possible to do a full episode on the development of this DCS module together with the people from Razbam and the F15E sources(pilots). Would be interesting how you start such a project from getting a license from the manufacturer to all the people you need with knowledge irl.
That's a good idea. Let me look into it.
Seems cool that a book comes with it. However people need to be aware that this is a Razbam module and it will be far from perfect upon release. Just like the Harrier it will likely be needing bug fixes well into its 6th year of development
Fascinating - love it. Loved reading the documentation. PS: Typo on P60 (par 8, In=To)
Which text are you referring to, Chris?
Hi - the bit towards the end of the page "In exacerbate matters..." guessing it should be "To exacerbate matters..."
Got it. Thanks. How did you get hold of the book?
@@10percenttrue It's in the video
Ah. Thanks! You guys have some sharp eyes!
its gonna be janes......... BUT IN VR :O
VeEeEe OrRe!
I'm kind of interested to see what responsibilities are divided between the Pilot and WSO in the F-15E. Are there 'vote' switches for weapon release and droping bombs is in the hands of the WSO like in the B1B Lancer? Can weapon release be delegated to the WSO? Or can the pilot do everything without a WSO like the a F/A-18E/F? I've heard one of the requirements of the F-15EX for the Air National Guard was that the pilot could fly without a WSO, supposedly unlike the F-15E.
Triot, why not drop by the Discord (link in description) and ask? We have F-15E pilots and WSOs who can answer that question...
Amazing video and information ! so cool you are doing projects for Egal Dynamic. The first time I watched one of your interviews in 2021 I thought this guy would make amazing documentaries for History Channel or National Geographic. Looks like others had the same idea after watching your content. Thanks for these Videos
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome , It would be great if Starbaby could do some live tutorials once the F15E is released, can you arrange please :)
Yogi, I would love to get SB involved, but he has been clear that it's not something he is interested in. Sorry.
Early in the video it shows an F-111F dropping retarded bombs. That jet is tail number 443. I worked on 443 for two years at RAF Lakenheath in the early 90's. Believe it or not, 443 was agoraphobic. As soon as she left the security of the tab-vee, she'd start having problems. Overall a great jet though, once you learned how to talk to her.
Will this version of the F-15E be a superior BVR fighter over the F-15C we already have?
For those combat flight sim nerds like me not interested in purchasing the F15E (I’m waiting for the F4E instead), is there a link we can visit to buy your books/e-books?
You can register interest here, GD: www.10percenttrue.com/beafraidofthedark
Otherwise, best place to look is online books stores like Amazon.
Sorry I can't be more helpful!
Not complaining, but many parts were word for word from Steve’s book :)
Hi Tuukka. Indeed. I am trying to combine excerpts from the book with the videos :)
Ah cool. Date de sortie ? Même approximatif
What’s your HOTAS hardware??
Will your book also be available in physical form? I'd love to add it to my collection
Not immediately. I may reprint Part 1 when I have Part 2 finished. If you like, register here for updates: www.10percenttrue.com/beafraidofthedark
I can’t find the E-Book anywhere in my folders
can be found in: {DCS_ROOT}\Mods\aircraft\F-15E\Doc
Is your book available in print?
Not at the moment. I may reprint it once Part 2 is also ready (economies of scale, etc.). You can register interest here, if you like: www.10percenttrue.com/beafraidofthedark
I got a question that has been on my mind can I get a answer please to help me. If I buy this module do I need a person in the backseat to fly this aircraft????????.
No, you can fly it by yourself if you want to
so we will not have AI that talks to you from the back seat like jester for the Wizzo or no WSO in the F-15E?
TALON AI is planned
Sadly it doesn't get on pre-order today
They said that the pre-order delay will not delay the actual release so it doesn't really matter.
@@audunskilbrei8279 ya I never knew why the f people are pre ordering a digital product. !
@@Star-bp5jj well in this case you get a discount so I guess that's why. And in some cases you get to preload the game so that it's ready to party immediately.
But in general, yeah it's pretty pointless.
does it have HMCS
Not at the moment. May come later.
I want my toy! waaahhhh
sameeeeeeee
I need a friend to fly the f-15 , f-14 and f-16 mod
5:12 I'll come back at ED about this when I can't read $#!+ on it against clouds, the haze around the horizon or even the sun in VR... (as experienced in basically any other module) :P
12:23 Google Algorithm would like to know your location :)
Location is Guam (DCS Marianas map) :)
Neat, I didn't know I'd get a copy with the module. I'll look forward to looking through it. I've enjoyed your interviews with Starbaby.
Thanks!
