  • As a website user, I'm immediately drawn to a search functionality so I can quickly find the information I need. However, a lot of WordPress websites don't take advantage of this feature since the built-in options are lacking (to say the least).
In this video, I'm going to share how you can fix the WordPress search functionality with a few plugins, code snippets, and custom search results page templates.

A client has asked me to add search functionality to their site. I was simply going to turn on the GP functionality, but with this video, I'll be able to make it so much better. I can't believe the timing of this video. AWESOME!

I cannot understand anyone going to the trouble of enhancing the search function without ensuring that each page has a sensible SEO relevant Title and Description. However, I know many website developers do not bother with either. Congratulations on your communication skills - the biggest weakness of the Generatepress team is their "how to tutorials" - but you fill that gap perfectly. Many thanks for sharing. Much appreciated.

Due to videos like this, I am sticking with GP and GB for my development work. Just renew the pending subscriptions for both. Currently, you are my sole source of inspiration for GP and GB.

Oh wow!!! What other things would you like to learn about with GP/GB?

Thanks Kyle! I was looking for this exactly but couldn't find it easily on CZcams. I thought, Kyle must have something on this, and well here you are. You rock, as always!

Lost me buddy when you clicked \section. Wish you could provide a link to where you created the template. I'm not tech smart, always here posing and rewinding while implementing 😅

Update: Figured my way out by adding three containers and it worked. Both elements are now working

Is there a way where we can search not only posts, but pages and custom post type posts?

    • @TheAdminBar

Yep, I think all three plugins allow you to do this :)
