One thing that no one (that I've seen) on You Tube mentions is that while the rack is rated for 60 lb. bikes, the Trail Doc (per Kuat's customer service) is only rated to 40 lbs., a possible issue for ebike users. I have the NV Base 2.0 (same rack but with a different finish and no Trail Doc) and it's an excellent rack. I'm a VERY happy user.
I picked one up on FB marketplace like hers with the Trail doc for $300, sold my saris Freedom for $95. Kuat is way better and much sturdier. Thrilled with the deal.
If you dont think you will use that Bike repair Stand get the NV 2.0 base model. It will not have the repair arm, and you can then opt for the license plate holder instead. Insurance for if you run into that officer the write everyone a ticket. That way no one can say your plate is obscured, which is illegal in tons of States.

Thanks for the review. I'm seriously thinking of getting a KUAT Sherpa 2.0, and I have a question about driving with the bike rack. Do you have to limit your speed when driving with a bike on the back?
I've used mine with fenders with no problem. Kuat says not to, but I've driven very long distances successfully just attaching to the tire. I've seen people stick a folded inner tube, and others a modified pool noodle, under the fender to allow attachment near the fork.

That's good to mention! I never cared for electric bikes, so I had not considered the weight to be an issue

No not at all. I’ve driven up to 75 mph on some pretty bumpy roads and they were totally fine.
