I went to glasto in 97. We were going to jump the fence. There was about 7 or 8 of us. Before we went some friends bought tickets for me and my wife. So there was 4 without tickets. We all got there, after setting up we headed to the site. We went to the entrance and joined the queue, while the 4 without tickets headed to scope the fence. It took us about 1/2 hr to go through the gates. We got in and the 4 who bunked it were sitting there with a fuckin beer. That was how easy it was in 1997.😮😮
I never had an issue finding empty or unbusy water points. The water points that have banks of 6 taps were basically always free because they're so efficient. If you have to queue, just keep moving and there'll be a free one within 5 minutes walk - I guarantee.

I’m going to give you guys a free one. When you’re in Tesco getting the dissi before the festival, grab a paper cup from the Starbucks coffee machine, pinch the tip (cheeky) and bang, funnel.

Yeah it would wear very thin with a lot of people I think. I worked with someone like that for a period and nobody could say anything without being ‘corrected’. Just annoying

The speed you guys get the videos out after the festivals is insane! Can't imagine how much content there is to go through and edit so nice one and keep it up, TPD is only gonna keep growing. Hopefully see you at Glastonbury 24 assuming we can all get tickets lel... Praying as my birthday is on the Friday next year
Def agree that doing the same festivals over again might get old for you guys, but Coachella has the advantage of conflicting with very few festivals since it’s so early in the year, and will always get you 500k+ views.

Only water point problems are at the campsites when people are washing in the morning (which is annoying) The rest of the site is easy and walk straight up and fill with no queues…just need to remember to take your reusable bottle out with you. Don’t waste money buying those cans of water.
I know you visited the circus/theatre area on the Wednesday but interested to know if you got to visit once things really got started. Some of the performances there are really good and would’ve been really good on the vlog

If you're looking for something new, hottubs in the woods, a sunflower field, massive lake that everyone swims in, massive podium on the lake with DJ booth, random secret things, COME TO SECRET GARDEN PARTY!!! PLEASE!!! there may even still be tickets left, come man please! It's fucking bonkers!!!

Much as I love TPDTV, there's a number of gatherings that don't necessarily want this sort of publicity/attention (hint: 'secret' in name). Some things aren't necessarily better with 10x as many people attending/competing for tix

Having personally attended 4 times, one thing I noticed you didn’t do which is a Glastonbury ritual/rite of passage, is watch the sunrise at the Stone Circle!
It’s a shame because it’s such a bib on the Sunday morning.
Apart from that it’s fantastic you finally got to experience the greatest festival in the world. Hopefully you can see why it’s called the best. It’s quite easy to see why when you’re there xx
i think i agree with rob when he mentioned feeling less dirty when it’s hot. i was in the cabaret tent and it was basically a sauna, felt sweat dripping fucking everywhere, but give me that over an overcast post-rain groggy feeling leeds fest any day 😂

I was well impressed by how much you crammed in. Only part you seemed to miss was the South East corner which is why you didn’t see the Temple (dome thing). Top video though.
Brilliant vlog & post mortem! I think all our mates had the same feeling as Rob - Glasto was incredible at the time, but moreso looking back when the dust settles. Fingers & toes crossed for tickets for us all next year!

Next year when trying to get into the meat rack, if you’re trying to get in late around mid night, wait near the exit only sign and ask people leaving there for good if you can have their moustache. Once you have that you can walk straight in. Worked for me 2 nights this year

Fyi The stage you didn't visit is called Temple - it's great. And you'll never see everything in one glasto, this was my 6th and I still saw some new stuff.
Secrets are all about talking to people and getting feelers out -they're usually secret sets (apparently there was one on a hot air balloon this year!). Other than that it's mostly going down the rabbit hole, and finding the secret piano bar - which I've never managed to do!
Danny - there are showers in the greenpeace area which use a ticket system, usually takes around an hours wait in the morning but you can roam during that hour. Also there are some lesser known showers right near the entrance to Block9.
Finally met you guys at the Rocket Diner on the Wednesday and it made my whole week! I've got some film pics of the boys I'm waiting to get back from the developers but thank you for being the best lads and congrats on another blockbuster video as always. See you at a festival in august :D

In your video where you went to the Tube station club/stage in shangri la, I was in there and walked into one of the tubes where no one was , ended up at some secret rave in a shipping container with about 20 people, that was the only secret I discovered
That stage Varley was on about was Temple I think, kinda like an amphitheatre
We’re been asking for Greggs festival vans for years. No one can give me a straight answer on why we’ve not done it yet.
Maybe it’s the square footage we’d need for equipment?
A proper tent set up like CoOp would be fantastic. Charge VAT on all the bakes so they can be in a hot counter so people don’t whinge when they’ve been sat there for 20 minutes and no longer warm.

I've never really noticed the security entry checks being mega strict, to be fair we never really go back to the car at festivals though. The best advice I was given for Glasto is take a Camelbak, absolute lifesaver on the water front and you can carry your beers too and it's really compact. I didn't struggle at all to fill up when I went last in 2019 I guess you guys got unlucky. Good to see you guys finally make it to Glasto

Festival shower tip, buy a big plastic watering can with the shower top thing and use that to get evenly covered with water n then rinse off at end, saved us at boom last year
Just take the head thing and stick it in a 2 litre water bottle perfect fest shower
Idea I just had about different content, even though I think your on the ball. Cover volunteer roles available at festivals. I personally volunteered for Festival Medical Services at Glasto & Reading for ten years. In a cost of living crisis and many just can’t afford to live never mind a festival.❤✌🏼🙏🏼

Nah fuck the 'influencer' wristband idea. I get you would want it just for the content but the beauty of glasto is that nobody gets special treatment. The secrets everywhere are what make it.
Also carried a water bottle around with me everywhere this year and never had any trouble filling up. Most of the points around the side (outside of the campsites) I walked straight up, maybe 1-2 people in front. The campsite points take a long time since people are filling up 10+ litre jugs for everyone at their camp.
One strange thing I saw was a woman revising during Guns and Roses 🤔🤔
People were advertising on twitter to pay security to drive you in and leave you there.

Don't think Elton got anywhere near 200,000. 80,000 max in that field imho. That and Rolling Stones were the biggest fields I've seen there. Oasis would top that I think.

Burning man would be tricky, you'll get a lot of shit for walking around filming yourselves all day. I would love to see it, but it doesn't really fit your modus operandi. Its also gonna cost you about £20k.
20k? Depends how many people they bring over. Let's say three people; fly into Reno (or SF). Rent cheapest vehicle for a week. Camping stuff, food, etc. 3x tickets, one car pass. I've been to BM twenty times, it's expensive but I think you could do it for (once landed in US) around $1500 per person not incl car rental. That would be pretty bare-bones but these lads can take it. As for getting shit walking around filming yourself... yeah traditionally, yes. It keeps changing year by year. I agree it's not in the spirit of BM at all, but there are some wonderful examples (Ryan Duzer's coverage of the BM ultramarathon,. which is fantastic) of cameras on playa. IDK I'd like to see TPD do it because they deserve to experience something SO different to what they're used to, and they're solid lads. Also, with BM, the secret is long since 'out' and it's been hyper-exposed to media for 10+ years. Those who want small, intense gatherings where everyone participates have long (LONG) since moved on, and I'm not telling you where. ;-)
However BM is still amazing and still the gold standard of this kinda thing. I'd like them to come and see it.
