This is from a Thunder fan. SGA is not an all defense level guy. He has active hands but he was probably the fourth best perimeter defender on the Thunder (Dort, Dub, Wallace). You can’t be the 4th best perimeter defender on your own team and think this is one of the best defenders in the league.

As a clipper fan, you’re big tripping. Kawhi is better the better player to build around. Injuries ruin that of course but PG isn’t a leader
I agree that PG was the better player at this stage in their career and was doing more. People get really enamored by Kawhi’s past but things can really change 180 degrees in one year especially with a knee injury. I’m not saying Kawhi is done, he might be recovered next year. Kawhi has also benefited from some perfect roster construction from management during his 2 championships with San Antonio and Toronto. He’s great but think about it. The timing was just off when he got together with PG and then all together with James and the injury bugs destroyed their chances.

@@teoxoe Yes I did and his overall efficiency, 4th quarter ft attempts, points and assists, win shares, PER, crunch time foul calls, etc all decreased. These are undisputed facts. Playing for foul calls doesn’t work in the playoffs when you are a small market team like OKC.
