What a refreshing version with life and such tonal shade. I must admit from hearing and playing it for so many years, it was not favourite piece as it' becomes clichéd. This is wonderful and in such musical hands. Lucas showed such empathy even at such a young age.

I think concerts take place last Saturday in August every year. Stage is on the water surrounded by boats ladenwith wine for audience and lucky folks in surrounding houses hang from their windows to take in the show.All foreign celebs are warned what to expect. Sarah Chang, Thomas Hampson, etc.,etc.
Actually, Lang Lang is great for this kind of duet. His usual playing is a little abrupt and rough around the edges, in my opinion, but here, it's re-imaged into youthful exuberance. This was a great performance. (Also, that audience participation. Seems like so much fun.)
