might have to do with the fact that The Gate of Magus was also the theme of the Machinery Children trio in OG2... kinda fitting seeing the link between Ing and them
In the side material, he's basically one of the very few machine children remaining but he hadn't had the programming of the others so he's trying to make his own way in the world, running afoul of the alpha numbers at first. The game gave him some upgrades (TK powers for one)
EXE-Bien, the lone avenger. Hard to say if the Huckebein line has fully died out as there's still the MP Mk IIs, but I'm sure many Hucky fans will look forward to avenging the Mechocide with this.
The game reveals at the end that he is not a clone of Arad, but Euzeth gave Dr. Egret the DNA from Ingram to make Ing. Euzeth had him created to act as an artificial pilot for GunEden for when Euzeth was prepared to take it over.
Golden Rule of OGverse: Anyone that bear any relation and similarities with ingram shall have its finishing moves related to time, space and dimension.
"Huckebein is dead. He's not here anymore! But on my back, and in my heart, he lives on in me! Shooting a cannon to piece the heavens! Even if that hole becomes my grave, as long as I break through, I shall be victorious! Who the hell do you think I am?! I'm Exexbein! I'm not my brother Huckebein! I am myself! Exexbein the Mk-X! Certain Kill!...Black Hole... Buster....CANNON!!!!"
the Gespenst Variants, the Wild series (perhaps save the Wildswcine), and the Lions have no fear as they stand out well enough to avoid setting off things.
There's an in-universe explanation as to what happened to all the specialized Huckebeins (destroyed by some dude; Ing comes along, salvages their parts, makes Exebein.) However, the real reason Bandai had the Huckebein killed is because its models were outselling Gundam models in Japan. Bandai said "can't have that, so kill the Huckebeins" because of it, even though Bandai owns both.
I think Sunrise was just butthurt that for a time Huckebeins were more popular model wise than the gundam series at the time (GSD/SEED) I know such issues prevented a proper hucky from appearing in TV series (I think hte OVA doesn't count), but to have it affect the games... this move basically forces people to use other units. Funny enough, Neither the R-1 or ART-1 are affected despite having traits of other gundams (Victory, Zeta for starters)
Interesting. I had heard that they hadn't used the Masou Kishin characters and mechs for a while because they wanted to concentrate on other Banpresto Originals, but I guess that could be the incorrect rumor instead. As for the Huckebeins, it's a pity, but I was never a big fan of the purple not-Gundams, so it's not a big loss for me. My condolences to their fans, though.
Look Aya. That's how you're using funnels. Machine Children were one of the worst mid-bosses in the game. Now we have one on our side. There is still some justice in this world.
If it were the US, yes, they could. But they're contractually obligated to continue making Gunpla for Sunrise, and they have to listen to Sunrise on the matters of where Gundam can and cannot appear because Sunrise, not Bandai, owns the IP to Gundam. As I mentioned, copyright laws and laws of incorporation in Japan are way different.
Has this been confirmed as true? Because when the Masou Kishin mechs and characters hadn't been in the SRW games for a while, everyone thought it was because of legal problems with Winkysoft, and that turned out to not be the case at all.
Actually it WAS problems with Winkysoft. The reason it took so long for everything but Granzon and Cybuster to come back is because Bandai has to BUY THE RIGHTS BACK in the first place. As for ever hearing an "official" statement on it, the Japanese are infamously close-mouthed about company infighting. This is all gathered from futaba.
A very plausable speculation nonetheless. Huckebein lines won't suddenly vanish in real life (models, promotions, animes), considering its popularity as one of the earlist Originals' line.
Could be Artificial Newtype-level stuff where they're trying to emulate Arado's devilish luck via enhancement. Would make sense to me, anyway. Artificial TKers exist, don't they?
@Xanatix So Bandai is powerless in this matter? If they weren't they would have done something against it, except the result would end with far more less money income.
Because it's technically copyright infringement. Every Huckebeine but the mass-produced Mk2s have almost perfect Gundam head ripoffs, and because of the weird ass way copyright law works in Japan, Sunrise was threatening BANDAI that they couldn't use Gundam in Super Robot Wars anymore if they didn't remove the Huckebeine lines, even though Bandai OWNS Sunrise. Copyright laws in Japan do NOT work like US copyright laws. Also, I made a mistake in the name of this suit; it's the Exexbeine.
コンセプトが『小型・高性能化したSRX』なんて言われるだけあってさすがのトンデモ性能
久しくスパロボから遠のいていたけど コレを見て「やらなきゃ」って思い出したんだよな
I really need to get me one o' those! Shutting up noisy neighbors with a Black Hole Buster Cannon could be quite an exotic pastime indeed...

It's just a visual gesture to show how far he's opening up his telekinetic power.
The game reveals at the end that he is not a clone of Arad, but Euzeth gave Dr. Egret the DNA from Ingram to make Ing. Euzeth had him created to act as an artificial pilot for GunEden for when Euzeth was prepared to take it over.
いわば、最後にして最凶の凶鳥!スパロボでは消えつつあるヒュッケバインシリーズですが、ここに来て意地を見せてくれました!
ディス・アストラナガンとの関係は?
グヴォレーとの関係性は?
We already have the apotheosis of all Huckebeins ever developed here.
Golden Rule of OGverse: Anyone that bear any relation and similarities with ingram shall have its finishing moves related to time, space and dimension.
Ex-Exbein is just like Zeta. Except instead of dead girlfriends, it's powered by the souls of dead gendums.

Definitely a mix of Earth inheritors and The Gate of Magus... fitting really
Because he's the last of the Machinery Children. I thought his design made it obvious.
t-linkレボリューターの時、できればローリングフォーメーションの前に回転するスライダーで切り刻んで欲しかった。

it actually feels more like "Earth Inheritors" the slow theme the bergermills and the Aurgemill had in Alpha Gaiden.
Exactly, it's basically "young survivor of a village wiped out" all grown up.

And the Huckebein proper will never be seen again.
REST IN PEACE VANISHING TROOPER
"The power I inherited from the Huckebein..."
;_;

Not all of them were destroyed... Just the cool non-MP ones.
Random little Gate of Magus sting during the last attack. Wonder why that musical motif keeps popping up in Ing's themes.
Futaba channel. It's what all the Japanese people are saying on the imageboard.
Has this been confirmed as true? Because when the Masou Kishin mechs and characters hadn't been in the SRW games for a while, everyone thought it was because of legal problems with Winkysoft, and that turned out to not be the case at all.
without sources backing that up, it's just one more bit of speculation.
Holy shit, if only this badass mech could get the vanishing trooper bgm from alpha
Actually it WAS problems with Winkysoft. The reason it took so long for everything but Granzon and Cybuster to come back is because Bandai has to BUY THE RIGHTS BACK in the first place.

they can call it whatever they want. we all know it's just a huckebein with goggles.
Exexbeine**
The name is EGUZEKUZUBAIN. That's commonly how the Japanese pronounce a double X. So it's name is literally Exexbeine.
Could be Artificial Newtype-level stuff where they're trying to emulate Arado's devilish luck via enhancement.
Would make sense to me, anyway. Artificial TKers exist, don't they?
okay, thanks for this info ^_^ !!
@Xanatix So Bandai is powerless in this matter? If they weren't they would have done something against it, except the result would end with far more less money income.
He actualy is a couple of years older than Setsuna
He doesn't... Besides, since he's a machine child it means he's pretty much a clone of Arado.
*sigh* It is still nonsense in my eyes. Bandai could give Sunrise the deadblow anytime.
KING OF HUCKEBEINS. DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH FUNNELS?
feels like an anime
dang he looks like setsuna :D
ブラックホールバスターキャノン使ったときなんで裸になるんですかね?
Can I just call it Excessbein? Because that was excessive.
Because it's technically copyright infringement. I think it's a mix of both
Either that or just Gate of Magus.
