Modern Education is a 16 minute short film produced through Ghetto Film School. It is the final thesis film that was supposed to be shot in South Korea (but was instead shot in Los Angeles due to COVID-19). The film will be released in April of 2021.
Roles on the film: Writer, Editor, Script Supervisor
I created a trailer for the film (modeled after the 2019 Joker teaser trailer from Warner Bros). The story focuses on the relationship between a mother and daughter after moving to South Korea. However, things take a suspicious and thrilling turn when the new school and its students act very strangely.
“Modern Education” was a dystopian film that I wanted to write that explored the dangers of elitism and the model minority myth within the education system, informed by my own observations in part.
