If we are truly going for De Ligt and Zirkzee, I’d definitely get De Ligt first because Bayern will get 50% of any sale for Zirkzee. If Bayern gets the money from the Zirkzee sale, they might be more difficult to deal with when it comes to agreeing a fee for De Ligt.
Ruud is also notoriously difficult to get on with. How long do we reckon Ten Hag and Van Nistelrooy will see eye to eye?

To have a reporter speak so highly regarding De Ligt and how the fans have reacted to his leaving only makes me want him more. De Ligt, Yoro, Zirkzee and possibly Ugarte best transfer window in years!

I know we’ve not signed anyone but let’s not forget Todibo was a done deal before UEFFA. So refreshing how INEOS have pivoted and responded to their #1 priority position strategy changing speaks to their thorough planning

The deal was never done, it was reported we were interested like we have been for the previous 2 windows but it was about as close to being done as I am to being 6ft5

I don't know why ppl here in the comments are saying we probably wont sign De Ligt. Im confident that we will get him and 1 more CB, whether that be Yoro, Braithwaite or another CB. We're definitely getting Zirkzee and probably Ugarte too
There is no reason why he cant join Utd and stay for a few years and join Madrid when he is like 25 and coming into his prime
The same as ronaldo did, came at 18 as raw potential and left at 24 as the best player in the world. We'll see if yoro has got that elite mindset, because he'll have to play Well and prove himself for man utd to earn that madrid move further down the line

Wouldn’t be surprised if United signed 2 CBs this summer and then another one or even two next summer. We’ve already lost Varane and could potentially lose Lindelof and Maguire too, this summer. And Evans and Kambwala are entering the last year of their contracts, with the latter refusing to sign an extension apparently. We could have a situation this time next year where Martinez is the only remaining CB of the 6 we had at the club last season.
I'm hearing "here we go" in the back of my head about 5 times over the next week for Yanited

Plus for me is another nation's journalist saying the same as the ones over here - we are looking far and wide and at multiple options at the same time. Encouraging Vs the last few years of leaving everything until.the last minute and then throwing money at the problem.

If we are going to spend big money for an english centerback it should be guehi not branthwaite. Guehi is closer to being worth the 70-75m price tag, branthwaite is only worth 40mil it will take years for him to be ready to start for us he is simply too raw.
I want to be positive but i have a feeling we won't sign de ligt/yoro, and end up paying for branthwaite, and booth Maguire and Lindelof staying.
Two centre-backs and I'm happy 🤞 Branthwaite for no more than £55m and I think we should go for it.

Every time we're alway negotiating without actually pulling a deal off. Zirkzee was supposed to be signed already so we move on to other targets.
