- Hahaha. No joke one of the weirdest things I’ve done wakeboarding. Slowing the cable right down and trying to raley!! :) :)
Actually pleasantly surprised by how good it was. And honestly, I really enjoyed the playfulness of it on the water. I think with fins it could be epic!!

Dude your videos have helped me so much I started wake boarding 2 weeks ago went from not being able to get up to almost jumping wake to wake I'm excited for more videos and doing bigger tricks thanks
I can't think of anything to comment, so here's a cinnamon roll recipe:
Ingredients
For the Dough:
1 cup whole milk
one 1/4-ounce packet active dry yeast (2 1/2 teaspoons)
1/4 cup plus 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more for the bowl
1 large egg yolk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more if needed
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
For the Filling:
All-purpose flour, for dusting
12 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened, plus more for the pan
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Directions
Make the dough: Warm the milk in a medium saucepan over low heat until it reaches about 100. Remove from the heat and sprinkle in the yeast and 1/4 teaspoon sugar (don't stir). Set aside until foamy, 5 minutes. Whisk in the melted butter, egg yolk and vanilla.
Whisk the flour, the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, the salt and nutmeg in the bowl of a stand mixer. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed with the dough hook until thick and slightly sticky. Knead on medium speed until the dough gathers around the hook, 6 minutes. (Add up to 2 more tablespoons flour if necessary.)
Remove the dough and shape into a ball. Butter the mixer bowl and return the dough to the bowl, turning to coat with butter. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, 1 hour 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough, fill and cut into buns (see instructions below). Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking pan; place the buns cut-side down in the pan, leaving space between each. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled, 40 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325.
Bake the buns until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Cool in the pan 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the glaze: Sift the confectioners' sugar into a bowl, then whisk in the cream and melted butter. Transfer the buns to a rack and spoon the glaze on top while still warm.
How to Form Cinnamon Buns
1. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a 12-by-14-inch rectangle with the longer side facing you.
2. Spread with the softened butter, leaving a 1/2-inch border on the far long edge. Mix the sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the butter.
3. Brush the unbuttered far edge with water. Roll the dough away from you into a tight cylinder and press on the long edge to seal.
4. Cut the cylinder with a sharp knife to make 6 equal-size buns.

Thanks for the insight! I always thought it can't be so bad to use a cable board behind a boat. In any case I am keeping my previous board with possible fins addition in case I go behind a boat.

Great video! I just learned how to switch from left foot forward to right foot with my fins in and I'm hoping that taking them out with make it a lot easier. Keep up the good work👍🏻

Yeah, you definitely get more pop with a fin board into a wake, going flat. It's like snowboarding with a springy board going into a lip flat at slower speeds. It's hard to describe, but I know exactly what you're saying! Thumbs up on this video for sure!

I was riding a Paradigm as my boat board for years, it was really even more of a cable board then the SOB. The flex seemed to suit my riding maybe because of the way you could load it and I loved that thing until it got damaged. Unfortunately I found the SOB sat too deep in the water for me so i'm riding a Spark these days. I say riding, i have only ridden once since September last year.
would love to see you do this with fins :) I have the 2016 sob and been tempted to give it a try behind the boat, despite having a seperate boat board XD

I am wondering,,, I have a flat cable board, but it does have 4 fins which I can add,, but they are really thick. I board behind a boat, and I am having trouble landing my tricks,, w2w is no problem, but anything with 180, 360 or flip w2w I keep slipping,, i am scared that when I add those fins I will faceplant so hard... what would you advise? Haha
If u want a bigger wake on a boat u can put sandbags in the back and it does the job pretty well
I ride with no fins and it's a really old board. I can clear the wake without and can do a surface 360 fairly easily and honestly I enjoy no fins much more than with fins

My first board was a cable board and I had to ride it behind the boat.. It was only when I got a boat board then I realised how much easier it is

What do you do for ballast on your X1? I have a 2005 X2 with the same hull and seem to struggle to weigh it down right consistently, depending on passenger numbers.

I use a park board because they are so much bigger. Yes while very slippery it will help overweight people to ride. Im 6'5" and 375lbs. Hahaha i love to ride i try to go every week. Used to go every day! Slingshot nomad 160 ;-)

hey, yeah that's unreal. So you can ride it on the cable no problem. The only issue is it won't last as long as a cable board on the obstacles as it's built without a slider base (different material). But i'm sure if it's only every now and then it will be fine :)

yeah, so chances are you came into the wake from too wide and too fast. Try slow your edge/ cut towards the wake down, and you'll be perfect!!! :) :)
David do you think to buy a Hybrid board to practice in the boat and the cable is the better option?

David If I can ask a question that probably plenty people ask? I am planning to buy O'Brien Indie. I spent more time in wake park, learning now raley, but in the meantime I am renovating my classic motorboat Glastron V184 in which I want to have a waketower or post. I know that there is a difference in cable and boat board. Should I think about board with fins that can be removed or stay with Indie (that has no fins) which I like so much and have fun? Be honest I tried twice behind the boat. Other way maybe try to safe some money and buy a boat board in future:) and have two??? Please help, case Ian quite confused:))) TinAdvcd
