    I grew up living on a boat. Regarding storage……“put everything in its place if no place, find a place or get rid of the thing.” Simplify is the right word you used. Clutter drove me nuts. It only happened when guest would come aboard. I’m so happy for you two. ❤️ ❤️

    You're right that the Ranger Tug is a great little boat to take just about anywhere you want to visit and explore. The size isn't too bad for a couple. Thanks for showing a morning routine of life on a small boat. 🤠

    Battery monitors are a big help. I had a Balmar monitor installed on our R25, next to the water pump switch. Victron also makes battery monitors. They require 2-1/16” cutout. The Balmar was purchased from Defender Industries.

      A propane cooker is more practical than a battery monitor that tells you you can't cook your dinner ;-)

      @expeditionseanest  Před rokem

      ha ha, yes there are no shortage of gadgets to buy for your boat but a propane cooktop is the most important next to a bilge pump.

    Enjoying the series, very well filmed. Boat is a beauty. I'd just dial down the music, mostly not needed and actually slows down the video narrative.

    The stern should be rigged ready to catch and store fish. Rod holders, some kind of chair for fighting a big fish. A bait well is easily made from a round cooler with air. You can easily remove it. There should be a cutting board hanging over the back as well for chum, rigging baits and bleeding fish( importante).👍 I love the boat.

    Yes storage space and designating what you need is paramount, I live on a barge 55' by 11' and the real pain is pulling out loads of things to get to the one tool or item I need. Been doing this for 16 years and have still not quite cracked it, but do love never having to pack, just untie the mooring ropes and off I go all at a very leisurely pace. Based in the UK near Ely.

    Regarding your learning curve, my wife is literally in the same boat. Her jobs when we launch or recover get more important all the time. But never think he can do it all himself. Never stop learning or improving your skill set.

    I enjoy watching your new tug experiences and your awesome nature videos. Doing the sea trial on my new 2021 Ranger Tug R25 on Monday and I'm so excited! Wondering where your cockpit table is stowed when underway? Loving the tennis balls idea.

      @expeditionseanest  Před rokem +1

      Hello Judy , congratulations on the new Ranger Tug and good luck on the sea trial ! The cockpit table is dismantled and stowed in the centre lazarette while underway. Tennis balls idea came from Julia's days as a teacher . Some children are sensitive to noise and so the chairs are covered by tennis balls to minimize the noise on the hard floor . The chair legs were marking up the sea deck so the balls are working well so far. Thank you for the kind words.

      Hello James , thank you for the kind words regarding our videos. We appreciate all the feedback and support. Good for you to dive in to the cruising life with a Ranger Tug - you are going to love it! There is a lot to learn, we wish you well! We had the Bimini rails extended, and the entire back deck enclosure custom made. The Bimini was done by a company called Canadian Yacht Tops based out of Ontario .www.cytnorth.ca . They do excellent work and well worth the money as it extends the living space . The removable sections can be zipped in as needed to protect from sun or wind .

I’ve watched many different CZcams channels with many different types of boats and life styles. And this channel is one of very few that show the reality of what the average couple can actually afford and make work. Thank you @expedition sea nest. For sharing your adventures with us. we were just down in Florida about our size would have three 250 horsepowers on it. Most people think our boat is under powered with one 250 hp. if you had anything less than a 250 you would not get the boat up on plane. There are many boats out there now that have up to five outboards on them. It’s absolutely ridiculous
