I have to admit, back when this game was released in the PS2, as a huge fan of the original dot hack four games, I picked Nataume the first time I played this, and man... I can still feel the chills , that scene was literally out-of-the-blue, I never expected something like that, I always thought Nataume would have some beautiful, green eyes or something like that, but that? It kinda makes me wonder if that's the reason she never opened her eyes in the original games, she would have scarred Kite for life, that's for sure.
When I played Vol.3 for the for the first time (back when it was still new on ps2) I picked Shino for this event, she had always been my favorite and her and haseo have history (then again that goes for all of them tho)
I recently did the prep work required to make this video. Stupid grind-heavy long-winded chore. This was in my top 3 most irritating "farming-fests" I've done in a video game ever. Yeah I know this comment is irrelevant but I still want to say an "Honorable Mention" I ran across. This event is between "Natsume" and "Azure Kite." Here's how I triggered it. In a town create a party consisting of Haseo, Natsume and Azure Kite. "Gift" Natsume the weapon "Empty Skies" and make her equip it. Make sure all party members Weapon Level and Affection Meter are at MAX. Go to a random Field or Dungeon, get into a fight with some enemies and win. As your points from the battle are tallied the event should happen. This event plays out much like what Tabby does with Haseo when you find her in The Forrest of Pain. What happens? While the points are being tallied Natsume says "Did you see me Kite, I won!" While jumping on Azure Kite in the same manner as Tabby does with Haseo in The Forrest. Then Azure Kite just stands there, takes it and says "Friend". Yeah, he finally speaks. That's all that happens. I got board 2/3 of the way through Grind-fest and Remembered Natsume constantly saying "Look at me Kite, look at me" when I was working on her Affection Meter. So I wondered what, if anything, would happen if you gave her a "Kite overload."
