Decision means the fight went the full rounds and was basically ruled a draw, which we all saw it was cut short so it should be no contest. They just wanted the decision so that the books would keep all the money bet on each fighter in my opinion.

@@DasDutchmang the guy up there was joking. A no decision is the same as a no contest. Just a different name. Both fighters get paid, but only the money to show up. They don't get any won money like normal since there is no winner.

The issue wasn't that "no decision" is a different outcome to "no contest" it means the same thing its just not the terminology used in MMA. Joe has done enough events so should know the terminology.. the way he announced it at the end too.. he's so bad. Should have been like "ladies and gentleman referee herb Dean has put a stop to this fight at x seconds of the first round, due to an unintentional eye poke, this fight is declared a no contest" but instead he just goes "tHiS fIgHt iS a No DeCiSiOn" after being told 3x by the ref. His voice doesn't even fit MMA.. its like he's trying his hardest to copy Michael buffer.. they need to stop using him tbh. I bet rogan or anik would do a good ring announcer job, the way they hype up ceremonial weigh ins.

Decision means the fight went the full rounds and was basically ruled a draw, which we all saw it was cut short so it should be no contest. They just wanted the decision so that the books would keep all the money bet on each fighter in my opinion.
