Benmont’s arrangement completely changes that classic. So many mind blowing artists in one band, for a very long time. wow.... thanks Ben and Mike...we all needed that
I barely made it through American Girl. What an absolutely lovely rendition Mr. Tench. I very much appreciated and could feel the tenderness and care that went into this performance. We will miss Tom Petty forever, but he left us with some damn good music. Bravo.
Nothing but love for these men ......what an amazing way to honor there brother 😢....you boys hit it home ...great job ..long live the HEARTBREAKERS...
This is The Greatest piece of Art I have seen in some time. Thankyou everyone involved. Thankyou Tom Petty Mike Campbell Benmont Tench and The Heartbreakers. Always such awesome Memories.. .... But still a bit sad every day. Miss you Tom.
Looking at Benmont's hands playing the piano is beautiful to me. Just thinking about the thousands of times he played while Tom sang brings a tear to my eyes. Oh, if only to be able to relive all those times. Thanks to Ben, Mike and the other Heartbreakers. I'm sure they, like us, dearly miss our Tom Petty.
I remember when this video was released and how I couldn't make myself watch it. Now i know why. Through the tears, all I can say is thanks for all the great songs.
Gorgeous work! Thank you, sweet gentlemen. You are true Heartbreakers. Love you so much. Thank you for blessing Tom's memory for all of us who will love him always. Benmont and Mike true genius in your musical artistry.
Love Tom AND THE HEARTBREAKERS FOREVER! Keep his music alive, guys. YOU do it BEST, not others doing covers. He lives in you & comes through you when you play. Peace & love. Heartbroken Heartbreakers. And fans.💔❤️
I don’t think it had ever occurred to me that “American Girl” could be arranged to where it caused me to tear up. But here you go……😢 Benmont Tench, Mike Campbell, Thank You. And Tom. Rest In Peace

The Heartbreakers were one hell of a band. Benmont and Mike, two of Gainesville Fl finest musicians along with their friend Tom. 💯❤️🙏☮️ From Gainesville Fl.
The feeling of loss is so palpable... These two friends showed their love and grief through their beautiful renditions of two of Tom's great songs. The hug from Mike to Ben was so touching. I'm moved to tears most times I watch this. Thank God we have CZcams... It somehow keeps Tom alive in our hearts and minds.
Thank You Mike / Thank you Benmont for this and all the great music. I mean it from the very core of my soul, Thank you. Tom's spirit is still alive in all of the great music that he created and also in all the musicians that he inspired. Much respect and best wishes.
I have been listening to Wildflowers and all the Rest non stop for weeks and find it amazing that an album of the magnitude of All the Rest was just sitting in the can all that time. Tom was truly one of the greatest songwriters of all time. RIP Tom and thanks guys for all the wonderful music 🎶 🙏 ❤
First two songs had me spellbound. Benmont is an extraordinary musician. Mike forever a foundation of the Heartbreakers sound. Moving tribute. In my mind I kept thinking how hard it must have been initially to step back into that studio. That last song lifted me back up.
We all know how good a player Mike is, but Benmont's piano here is outstanding. Saw your first UK tour in 1976 and your final performance at Hyde Park 40 years later. Thanks guys, I miss Tom and all of you
It is a fitting tribute to Tom Petty and he did leave a hole in the music world. Tom lives on in his music, which has touched a lot of lives. Awesome job
Fantastic homage to Tom -- thanks Mike & Benmont! I highly recommend, if not yet seen, the documentary "Runnin' Down A Dream" by Peter Bogdanovich. Really made me appreciate Tom Petty as a songwriter and The Heartbreakers as a band.
Came across this morning. What an awsome tribute honoring Tom. I had seen on a documentary where Mike was shy and the band couldnt get him to sing. Omg what an aewsome job Mike. Please keep singing for all of us. Benmont thank you for your wonderful performance. Would love to see more of yall perform. Thank you for making my day. God Bless!
Heartstring-tugging tribute for sure. As a guitarist, I miss TP so much, but it has given me a whole new level of appreciation for Mike as an artist and a human being. So glad I picked up tix for his DIRTY KNOBS performance at Park West come October 2021-- even worth flyin' there from Phoenix. I just feel the need to see this man Live and introduce the bride to him.
Something Good Coming made me cry, it was really touching. Thanks, guys, for doing this. I’m a Florida born woman, my Dad was born in High Springs. Thanks for the music.
Rock and roll grows up. Tom said you always play the old stuff for the fans but you have to add something new and surprising. RIP Tom. . . Thanks guys. You done good. You did him proud and we thank you.
This is a treasure. The emotion is palpable. hard to fathom their sense of loss. Love the American Girl arrangement.. Thank you gentlemen. Tom is proud.

R.I.P., Tom. Thank you, gentlemen.
