    Ableton stock compressor is underrated.
    With 30ms attack it can give quite good punch, with similar feel to SSL channel strip compressor.
    Combine that with Saturator, and you basically emulate 90% of "vintage"-like plugins :D
    But the beauty of paid plugins is that they just do the job quickly and you get results faster.

      there's a million tutorials and explanations for how compressors work and what they're used for. Go look it up and then use it. There are no secrets, shortcuts, or presets that will magically make your work better.
