I meet Flat and Scruggs and their wives when I was a kid. They were friends of my grandfather. They were passing through Mangum OK and stopped to say high. These girls are great
They did an Emmylou Harris cover "Red Dirt Girl" that is awesome too! They are up and coming awesome country singers! Down to earth, farm girls that were home schooled by their mom! Check out Red Dirt Girl!
Lester Flatts is awesome I love Flatt and Scruggs Foggy Mountain Breakdown and The Ballad of Jed Clampett. I learned of them from watching The Beverly Hillbillies my favorite show of all time even though it was on before I was born in 1979 i still got to watch the reruns LOL! and Foggy Mountain Breakdown reminds me of the movie Bonnie and Clyde from 1967.
I thought Earl Scruggs played the banjo whereas Lester sang and played the guitar. Some of my favorite Flatt and Scruggs songs are where they covered The Carter Family in 1961. Mother Maybelle Carter played autoharp with them. My favorite is You are My Flower. As for The Castellows, I heard about their silo short videos first, then they released their EP. Their first song/video was No. 7 Road and it's highly recommended. I swear, if I ever win the lottery, I'm having a Sisterfest: The Warning (Evolve), The Castellows (Hurricane), The Secret Sisters (Bad Habit), The Gothard Sisters (Willow's Waltz), The Quebe Sisters (Summer of Roses), The Church Sisters (You Make Me), and then those bands that should be sisters like The Sixsters (Feels) and The Surfrajettes (Toxic).
I enjoy your comments very much , I would suggest you comment on Palaye Royale. These dudes are from Vegas but live in LA. I think they , at least one of them , probably tbe lead singer hit the rock bottom. They sing dark rock music with very dark lyrics expressing big trauma once they had . Very peculiar very differentiating from others deserving bigger audience. I will hopefully watch them in istanbul in June , I’ve bought the tickets.

They are sisters...two of them are twins. They are from southwest GA just across the Alabama line.
