What is the Armwrestling Level in East Asia?

- One of the most unexplored and unknown regions of arm wrestling has to be East Asia. So few people know about the level of arm wrestling there and who exactly the top athletes are.
Today I want to share with you a couple of videos featuring my friends Vachagan Hovhannisyan (@ArmWrestleNation ) and Guy Tanapat (@guytanapat ) at the recent Hangzhou Open in China where they both competed in the 85kg category featuring some of the best pullers in China!

Do you think a wider strap is better and more comfortable in practice? I feel a normal 1 inch strap is strangling my hand and sometimes it starts to hurt... depending on how tight it is ofc.
@@DevexTRE yeah, I personally use one that’s a little wider than an inch. I’ve tried the inch and a half one but that’s a little uncomfortable for me
@@EastsideArmWrestling yeah same, i use the 1,5 inch or 3,8 cm wide strap since its just better and doesnt hurt as much. I would like one thats a little smaller but i cant find any so
Hey Greg, would you know how to purchase a jersey like the ones the athletes had during competition? I’ve been trying to get some Chinese jerseys
@@neojingarmwrestling you’d have to attend a competition to get the jersey unless one of the pullers or organizers wishes to sell you an extra pair

For me rest is important at the start. Then as soon as possible I start training and strengthening it again.
Why doesnt china compete at WAF? seems like they have enough pullers to make a solid team. Knowing about china's competitiveness in terms of olympic sports, competeing internationally would definitely raise the level.
@@noonespecial321 they have competed before, it’s just that probably due to several key factors (lack of funding, insular culture) they, like many other East Asians (Japan/Korea) don’t go out and compete more.

awesome video!thank you bro.Although Zhang Yingchun is indeed the champion of the left-handed 80/85 kg class in China, there are still many players whose left hand is stronger than his because of their heavier weight. we reckon that Zhao zi rui is the best lefthand players In China because he can win the overall champion at just about 90kg and he can beat Zhang easily.

@@EastsideArmWrestlingi reckon that Hu Jian Dong and Zhang Ying Chun are both top guy at 80kg In China now(right hand),They are the best except Yu Peng Yi.Yu Pengyi has not participated in the competitions for several years.his weight is less than 90kg and can beat Japanese heavyweight champion “藤原大司” (not in a formal competition) In 2022 and 2018(In a formal competiton),and stalemate with Zhao Zirui for a while,so we think Yu Peng Yi is the king of 85kg In China even though he has not participated in the competition for several years.

If the Kazakhs are a 9 out of 10 I would rate east Asia a solid 7 and the likes of Georgia and Russia a 10/10.. Catching up catching up... USA if not for the superheavy weights it's more like 8/10...
