Love your reactions to Band-Maid. There is a part near the beginning, roughly around 50 seconds, that I love. There are 3 separate elements happening. The drums and rhythm guitar are in sync, the bass is doing a fast walking bass line and the lead guitar is playing a different element over top of all that. It's freaking awesome. The other thing I love are the sections that go into an odd meter. I'm like you, I'm infected but frankly, I don't want a cure! 😆
Akane(sp?)'s drumming seems so different from what I'm used to hearing. The kick snare pattern is constantly changing throughout this whole song. She doesn't look like she's even trying but you can feel her drumming in your chest when you listen to this song.

The female shredder was 15 when it was recorded!!! She is now 16 as is the bassist with his older brother the drummer who is 19!! Every song is essentially a solo. She never stops moving it around. Each section has multiple drum progressions. She doesn't just lay down a groove and repeat through the whole song. She constantly is building and moving and changing through the ENTIRE song.

ZEPP-Tokyo is celebrating their 20th year in business and they have used the years to get the lights, cameras and sound dialed in. This was the track that they hooked me with, before Onset i was 50-50 with Thrill (I still dont like the song but the bass is great in it) and Moratorium was a nice surprise that convinced me to give BAND-MAID a 3rd chance.
