    Not a big channel in numbers, but a big channel in authenticity. Much Appreciated, all your efforts in keeping this arm chair traveller on the go.

    Been in Udon for 10 years. Never accured to me to eat at the touristy bars and restaurants. I got to get out more. Most locals eat breakfest at King Ocha, Lunch at VT Namnueng, and dinner at Maeya. I usually travel with my dog. A pet friendly hotel resort and restaurant called Us Cafe. It's about 20 minutes outside of town, but worth it for the nice decor and friendly owners.

    We love Udon! It is 2 hours from us and we always stay at Centara. Its the only decent place to stock up on decent whiskey and other liquor for the holiday season. And of course the mall is great. I just subscribed!

      Thanks 4 the subscribe! First time I went to Udon was in 92 with military and loved it. Such a small big city if that makes sense. Has everything you need but still has a small town feel to it.

    Thanks for another very good video of local eats in Thailand ! The dishes all looked
    delicious especially the pasta with clams. UD town does look interesting.
    Been nearly 20 years apparently since your last visit there and hopefully going
    back there brought back great memories ! Thanks for the video JR and
    will catch up on a few I missed :)

    nothing wrong with the food, but in eating pizza's, burgers and kebab's you missed out on some great thai/isaan food of which there is plenty in Udon. Maybe next time!

    One of your longest videos that I have watched,and one of the best in my opinion. A real "Grand Tour" of eating establishments. You even managed to find Fish and Chips!

    When I was at Clark, I worked with a guy who did a few tours at NKP during the Vietnam war, was that near Udon ? Try ordering THOSE spring rolls as an appetizer ! That "pork medley" dish at Food Park looks good. Let us give thanks to the Lord for CZcams viewers who know how to handle their liquor. Another good one JR, Thanks

      Thanks John, not sure what NKP is but the Royal Thai Air base in Udon Thani was a US base during Vietnam. Had F-4s and other aircraft flying out of it. I have worked on that flightline on numerous occasions and first time I was there in 92, they still had blast fences from Vietnam era

    The Italian restaurant was...very expensive.

    • @FOCUSonASIA13
      @FOCUSonASIA13 Před 7 měsíci

      Western food will always be higher, nut expensive is depending on comparison. Compared to Thai food yes expensive, compared to Italian in the US, cheap. It all perspective
