I checked into this. Turns out she got at least one job offer and turned it down - probably for not being prestigious enough for her. Problem is, even if you graduate from a top-tier law school you're going to spend the first couple years of your career doing low-level stuff while the more senior lawyers teach you how to be an attorney.

The fact is it doesn’t matter what the degree is in 2018 there are barley any jobs. 400 pharmacists apply for a job but there are only 3 positions they need to fill. What happens to other 397 indentured servents.
I dropped out and worked 3 jobs and built a stock market portfolio meanwhile everyone I went to high school with works at Taco Bell and chilies and McDonald as well as target and Wal-Mart.
The truth is when everyone gets a degree it’s all about how many jobs are out there.
I’ve meet engineers financial planners pharmacist and I’ve meet 4 lawyers as well as phycology and Business majors.
And then there are the people who got useless degree.
The fact is that a lot of these kids get out of high school with the thought it only takes 4 years when it could take more or less.
Second they all believe they will ALL get jobs.
When they get out that’s when they understand what’s been done to them.
Meanwhile I’m 21 and built a nice stock market portfolio that I keep adding to weekly vs paying the banks out for loans. I’m the only one financially stable because instead of taking out debt i worked my ass off and invested 68% of my income and when I’m done paying of my car and phone I can start going 85%.
I am one of those suckers who thought I had to have a new car. I was 17 and didn’t know any better the car sales man said signs the dotted line and you have a new car. But at least my car can transport me from point a to point b.
All my cousins out of 20 of them only 5 have that good job and the other 15 don’t and they have degrees is awesome fields like engineer and financial planner and lawyer and pharmacist.
The fact is and no one is talking about it is there is some Jobs out there but not a lot.

Benny did you read my post I’ve been investing in the stock market for two years now.
I probably read more than my peers do.
Also I’m not playing the victim card I speak the truth there are a lot of people with degrees that work menial jobs because there are not enough jobs out there.
Yet all the teachers and counselor think EVERYONE SHOULD GO TO COLLEGE making them think that’s the path to success.
I started at 19 investing and am now 21.
When did you start saving and investing

heres the reason professors will tell you that you need to go to college. . . it is because if you ever figured out that you can read all the info they teach in a book somewhere most of them wouldnt have a job.
and also id say more than half of my friends that went to college are the exact same people before and after graduating. and the job opportunities they get are the kind of jobs i took when i was 18.

I say cancel all her outstanding school loans but she forfeits the degree the school gave her. The school must also pay her tuition costs for six months at any school of her choice if she chooses to go to back to school. This offer is only valid for the next two years should she take advantage of it. After two years and she still doesn't enroll in any further schooling she forfeits that offer.
Schools lie all the time to get students especially private for profit colleges. I wonder how they knew she wasn't accepted to any other law school? She must have told them when she enrolled. Shows she is an idiot.

And she might not have the privilege to just shed out another 100k to start her own firm.

Murad Shawar I like your story, but I do want to let you and everyone else know that school isn’t a waste of time. As a college student I am a freshman and I already have high paying job opportunities for when I graduate.
However, I’m also working on my own projects to show employers that I can be a good fit for their company. The honest truth about college is that you use it as a platform for getting a good job.
Even more, since you’re degrading the thought of college, then would you trust someone who claims to have adept medical experience over an actual doctor? No! So, don’t criticize college when you have never even attended one.
Also, everyone isn’t going to be good at investing in stocks like you. So don’t have such a simplistic and basic level of thinking. I’m a computer engineering student and for your information majority of companies in America are looking for programmers because THERE ARE A LOT OF JOBS for them. So don’t speak on something you don’t know because you only show how ignorant you are of the world.
College doesn’t guarantee success, but the skills and development that can be learned while in school can change your life for the better. And if you think college is so bad then should everyone go invest in stocks and get screwed out of there money? Should everyone go start a business because startups are 100% successful ( sarcasm ) ? No! Don’t judge or criticize people for trying to better their lives because you could honestly be selling lies yourself. I don’t mean any offense to you. I wish the best for you in life too.

I am currently getting certified in 3 areas
      Certified Financial Planner
      Certified accountant
      Realtor
Don’t be stupid of course I want a actual doctor.
The medical field and engineer field and lawyers are the only reason kids should go to college if that’s the camps they fall in to.
But everyone can’t be a doctor and a lawyer.
Yes investing in individual stocks isn’t easy.

Within two years, I got promoted and certified to a different medical position with a raise. I was fortunate to work at a hospital open 24 hours 7 days a week. During my Master's degree, I worked from 5: 00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. I was at work at 4:45 A.M.
My school hours began at 3:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, I did not have classes. I worked Weds through Sunday. My days off from work were packed with schoolwork and studying.
During my Master's degree, I got married to a medical student. We had a healthy wonderful son. Three years later, we had a second healthy beautiful son. My husband became a general surgeon. I became a college professor.

@@Imaprodigyy I earned my Master's degree in Art Education/ Fine Art. No, I never got sick. I've been healthy all my life. However, I had headaches while driving home from school, but never during class. My headaches were due to a lack of food and sleep. They usually went away within an hour by placing a small cold towel on my forehead.

If she passed the bar, then that is all any law firm really demands. Makes no sense. She showed she is qualified and that she was taught and learned plenty from that law school. She could not have passed the bar without the education given by the school. She also turned down a job as an attorney.

Word to the wise- don't go to a low-ranked law school. If you can't get into your state's public school, take that as a sign that you should not go to law school. They just want your money.

She had job offers right out of school and turned them down, all I needed to hear. Basically she is suing because she can't find the job SHE wants, not that she "can't find a job". What she probably just did, was make sure she won't get any more job offers.

She got her degree in law and is putting it to good use, tbh i really hope she gets the money she's asking for. I think it's a good thing she's suing her college, it's an opportunity to get her money back and also keep the degree. She's not suing a small business but a college that makes millions.
