I saw him perform this on stage and say that this was written after a particularly long period of drug use and when he was at bottom he had to decide whether he was going to go (die) or go ahead and live and make the most out of his life. Thank goodness he chose life! Thank goodness we have his amazing music in ours. Love him!

As a drummer, I just want him to go totally crazy with the last four bars before the outro. It was building up and up and up and up and that would've been explosive.
