    So funny!!! When I first started skating it took me forever to learn anything! However, the first time my coach showed me a Bauer at age 7, I immediately did it right after- and better than her! She had some other coaches come over and watch. They all agreed that was a Bauer you'd see in the Olympics! At 46, I can't do a thing anymore- except....my "Olympic" Bauer! I think it just had to do with the fact I can turn my feet 180 degrees.

    I see all of the top lady figure skaters do their Ina Bauer’s with their backs on a full arched position

    I will try my hardest to get an Ina BAUER because of you Michelle🔖. I’m a dancer since the dawn of my 4th years Old and I’ve Mastering all dances as Classical dance, Modern Jazz, , Contemporain dance.......... and also Country with Texan Women when I was in America. But now , I have to ice dance and I’ve never ice skating. It’s only my 29th time on ice and I learned through my tabs and PC. I went to find you and you teach easier than my first Coach on line named Julia so , I follow yourself for my ice show and also my solo for my exam of ice dancing in April 2022. It’s my last dance , I felt in love with the ice and even I’m young , I can’t pretend to live more than 2 years.
    I’m French and I ’m sorry for my English mistakes but so happy to find you that I thank you so much.
    Send you my Heart 🎈❤

    i also dont have hips that turn this way, i practice the position at the boards all the time, but something about the actual transition while skating causes me to spin out every time i try this! Seeing you able to do it even with hips like mine inspires me to keep trying though!

    Loved the demonstrations of the final pose, Ina Bauer, great inspiration! But, as a new skater, the video demo was not clear on how to step into the Ina Bauer move; no clear details on perfecting the "entrance" to move.

    I will try tomorrow and I’ll told you if I get this beautiful Ina Bauer invented by a German Woman. It’s crucial for my ice dance to get it.
    You make me feel more Confident than other Coaches as you spread Eagle. I’m so happy to find you Michelle 🌬⛸🤍

    I seriously can't do it. Not even a spread eagle. My legs don't spread out outwards as much, instead it creates a V shape. Do i need to stretch more?

    • @nelli7160
      @nelli7160 Před 4 lety

      Aether i do it against a wall, and kinda push my legs in more. it works, hurts a little bit but it’s worth it!

      ya! im very late here but just in case someone sees this. open up ur hips!!! though especially if youve never done it before and the older you are, the more careful you have to be in listening to your body and the longer it will take :)) ❤️

  • @AmyLangdon03

    Great tutorial, i was wondering, how do you keep spins centred, mine are so travelly, is it because of my boots?, is the ice too scratched up? (it is usually scratched up) or is it just my position? Thank you if you answer ❤️

    • @kcarrillo52
      @kcarrillo52 Před 6 lety +3

      A great tip I got was to finish making the "C" shaped curve in my entrance to my spin. Taking your time and making sure you complete the half circle in the entrance should help you center your spins. Also be sure to put the pressure towards the front of your foot and you should be good. Even if it's slow at first, practice it lots :) best wishes

    Coaches! I'm looking for a new pair of NICE skates. Do you agree that you can't overboot EDEA skates??? I have read through multiple sources that you can put any skater in any of their boots because of their design.

    • @stan4703
      @stan4703 Před 6 lety

      John Smith no you can’t, because Edeas are made for people with thinner feet

    • @JohnSmithNE3478
      @JohnSmithNE3478 Před 6 lety

      Figure Skating Stan really? I haven't heard that one.. I had read they can fit all sorts. And I have average feet. Only thing I read was they are higher in the heel

    • @JohnSmithNE3478
      @JohnSmithNE3478 Před 6 lety

      Figure Skating Stan and by any skater I mean of any skating level. Regardless of their jump rating

    • @stan4703
      @stan4703 Před 6 lety

      John Smith they might be a little higher in heal, I also have average feet

    • @stan4703
      @stan4703 Před 6 lety +2

      John Smith not ANY skating level, you wouldn’t want to get edeas as your first pair, they would be WAY too stiff for you

  • @lourdesgabrielasoteloflore4147

    My coach never got her Ina Bauer so when we try it we just go around the rink asking people for directions and it just doesn’t work

  • @JennaLovesMouse
