The GOAT with the goatee. Benjamin Bloom is sticking around in the Championship in 24-25 despite his beloved Ipswich being in the EPL.
That's dedication for you.
Thanks, Ben.
It's only for ONE season lol ((Sorry Ben, I couldn't resist that one)) 🤣
Please Argyle 🙏 Shock Me to my core with an incredibly successful season 24/25
plymouth stay up
I love it when the bookies write us off…… COYG 💚💚💚
Wayne Rooney 😂😂😂
Argyle's final position will depend entirely on how Rooney gets on in his first couple months here. If he fails and we sack him while in the bottom 3, we won't do a Wednesday and pull off an escape.
However if he gets us around the midtable by the halfway point then I cant see us dropping into the relegation fight in the 2nd half of the season like we did last season.
Admit as a Derby fan think it will depend on his transfer budget. Rosenoir was the brains behind his tactics with us and maybe without the 21 point deduction we might have stayed up. Not sure if there are many or any Brummies that expect him to do a good job but surely he must have learned by his mistakes from the past? Not sure who his assistant is but could be very important for him.
Argyle staying up depends on getting the likes of mike phelan who's been linked to be assistant coaching job and some good signings linked.
I hope Argyle & Rooney prove the Bookies and majority of Pundits wrong and he is a great success for us and surprises the hell out of the Championship... We play better when everyone has us down as relegation material... COYG's!!!
Well, I admire the bravado but its just not true. The best we have played in recent years was obviously 22-23 and no one had us as relegation material before that season.
I think the bookies are extrapolating from Rooney's history, far more than from Plymouth's form, squad and budget.
To be fair, Plymouth's form was poor at the end of last season. In addition, if the bookies think that some of the newly promoted teams like Derby and Pompey are stronger, then it's only logical that last season's no. 21st will struggle unless they strengthen.
To be fair to Argyle last season, we were the most unluckyest team in the division and we still stayed up, lost our best manager in a long time (shuey)in January, then all our loan players got recalled, then got foster in (new manager), he was awful , got sacked after 15 games. And yet with all that happening to us, we still stayed up, so if we get a full season with rooney I think we could do mid-table not bottom 3.coyg.
@@rubyandme7425we had a few games against you last season, and I always thought you were decent and at least try to play your football.
I've been really down on Leeds most of last season simply because I just could not shake that 'Leeds are falling apart again' feeling (And I was right despite a few Leeds fans on here giving me grief for it) I just knew we'd find a way to screw up, all the cards were aligned for us to win the league at one point and everything seemed to be happening too easy for us. I knew that would end and boy did it.
As for next season though, I'm gonna stick my neck on the block now and say it, we WILL finish top 2.
It looks like we are going to keep a majority of the team from last season, we've released loads of fringe and youth players to free up space, like you say, it looks like Aaronson is going to be our player next season and in the Championship, he'll be immense, a £25m winger who has bags of talent, he'll be like a completely new signing for us. I think we'll lose Summerville and Gnonto but I can't see Gray leaving, his family ties with us will keep him there for another season, I just can't see him being sold. Ampadu and Rutter have as good as said they'll be here next season. Our chairman has outright said the funds are there for incoming players so we will have to power and the means to make big name signings. (Hopefully we can get Rodon back)
We also won't have the nightmare start to the season that we had last year, having 3 quarters of the team running off on contractually allowed loans and having to play fringe and youth team players for the first month until we could replace the ones who had left. So we'll be miles better prepared this time.
We're going to be a force to reckon with, I'm genuinely excited about out prospects this time around, we're gonna be hard to beat.
see above, notorious bottlers still
UTT
@@hgm8337 So other teams that also bottled it don't get a mention, just Leeds? That sounds about right.

I believe the 49ers demand and strive for success, however I'm still unsure whether they are capable of achieving it.
No great surprise to see Argyle down there also we always get written off 💚
Blades back to a proper league. Thank f*** ! We’re going straight through to division one 😂
Qpr and Wednesday top 6 , Portsmouth and derby with Plymouth bottom.6 .
Nice to see Ben still covering the Champo even though his club pissed the Leauge !
Ipswich did well but they didn't piss the league
@jimmyanttaylor8030 to go back to back ,and come 2nd to a club at PL level, in a season which any other year, would only require 90 points for promotion and Leeds would of been promoted...yes man Ipswich bossed that leauge with balls and deserve massive respect ..they were unbelievable for the championship level last season.
as a Plymouth fan i can't see us going down even though Rooneys appointment might not have gone down well.plymouth to finish bottom no way.we are good enough to stay up and with new players coming in we will finish above the dotted line.
As a leeds fan im confident of winning the league.
2 of the relegated teams make playoffs, none make autos.
Rooney sends argyle down.
Didnt really want to make any outlandish takes.
Wednesday to get into the play-offs. Watch this space.
Lost Will Vaulks because they weren't being very proactive (R Sheff interview), does not bode well
Leeds to win The Championship, Blackburn to get automatic promotion, Coventry to win the play-offs.
Millwall to finish 15th, Preston to finish 21st.
Oxford, Plymouth, and Portsmouth to get Relegated.
My top three prediction is 1 Leeds 2 Luton 3 West Brom
Great video Ben. Yeah Luton and Leeds haven't been top two for me . Burnley? Turf Moor is Turf Moor but if they go Lampard ? i just think it's a mistake.
Can't see Preston finishing that low or boro that high, reckon qpr could finish top 8,my team coventry about 5th/6th Leeds top
Can't see us (Derby) finishing that high (10th-12th) either,, 17th-20th is we're we will finish in my opinion.
Agree. Preston usually finish around 8th-12th. Same goes for Bristol City. Norwich will be an interesting one to watch; new manager and bound to be a lot of new players too.
The Blades don't have Archer he goes back to Villa it was a clause in the contract is United went down he goes back at the same price si works out like a loan
Champions - Leeds
Runners Up - Luton
Play Offs - Coventry, Boro, QPR, Portsmouth, with Cov winning promotion.
Relegated, Plymouth, Oxford, Swansea
as a Norwich City fan, I think Norwich city will get fourth
Depending on whether old chanseri gets his hand in his pocket or not will decide were we finish 🤔.
I kind of agree with the top 6, but swap 5&6 with 7&8, but as for lower middle half, I can see more of those teams being in upper middle half. Derby and Portsmouth being lower down than forecast. Bottom 3 is a possibility.
My predictions will come nearer the start of the season
Norwich fan. It's going to be a 2-year project with the new manager, as you say several players will go, also complete change of playing style bringing in young players
Hey Ben,
You mention Archer being a Blade but there's a clause in his contract for him to go back to Villa following relegation, no cheat code for us. Keep up the great work and enjoy the Euros!
The year Coventry finally beat Preston, will be the year we're promoted. I'd like to say its this year do it & we'll make the autos comfortably, but i think it hinges on Sheaf (and obviously the transfer window).
I'm not as bullish as everyone else on Leeds winning, I think Burnley will romp away again like they did two years ago.
Also having Bristol that low is scandalous.
Sheffield United long-term season ticket holder here: I'd be totally delighted with 5th. But I don't see it. No idea where out money goes - certainly not into the club! I honestly fear we could do a Sunderland and do a double drop. As you can tell I don't rate Wilder anymore. Oh and zero faith in our current owner.
I don't know why Cardiff is so low, we've got erol bulut back which is a huge boost, aaron ramsey is looking more and more like he's going to play a bigger part as he's been training his fitness daily for a while now and will continue to do so over the summer, and our squad at the moment isn't even bad, really all we need is some decent backups, a quality striker and could do with a good midfielder, and then fair chance of playoffs I'd say, even if ramsey isn't fit for most of the season.
Agree with you about City, 18th is ridiculous. For the past few seasons we have generally risen a place or two so I expect us to be 9th this time round as the trend should continue. Probably about 6pts off playoffs and a total of 67pts
As a Hull fan we're always a large price with the bookies pre-season, value to be made potentially if you think we could have another good transfer window...
City could buy Szmodics, Delap and another class midfielder and we'd still be outsiders....Unfashionable club. But do we care? Nah..
@@NeilHarding-ne1mh Haha too right. I actually remember the first season we had with Steve Bruce as manager and we were predicted to finish 16th pre-season 🤣 Obviously finished the league in 2nd place
I’m a Hull fan and I’m not very optimistic at the moment tbf but lets see the transfer business we do
@@kierantv9857 That's fair enough, there's still a bit of uncertainty there. What I would say is that we still have an incredibly ambitious owner, and a very persuasive transfer/scouting team, so I think there's a good chance we have another solid window. Even if Greaves goes, then I imagine that the 20-30 million we receive for him will all be spent on strikers, so we should have far more fire power than last season
Since I lived there back in the day I've been following Pompey with half an eye, and I think a mid-table finish isn't necessarily out of the question. That said, at the moment not one new player has been signed, and the squad will need strengthening to get that mid-table finish. Momentum and a clever up-and-coming manager may have carried Ipswich a long way, but I think compared to Pompey they also had a stronger team.
So even if it is a given and a cliché it IS too early to tell. At the moment, predictions aren't much else than a bit of fun. 😀
Watford champions and Luton bottom! It cost nothing to dream lol
Wednesday finishing anywhere between 12th-18th in a boring, mediocre season would be fine.
Can't speak for other Wednesdayites, but I've aged 40+ years in the last two seasons.
Besides, even with Röhl doing what he's doing we are on a limited budget and still need a few transfer windows to properly freshen up the squad.
Röhl is on a three year contract, so that's the length of time we should allow to consolidate, push up and then challenge for promotion if all goes well.
Wednesday will do better than that, I'm sure.
Dearly Departed 24/25, Ben Bloom and Ipswich ;-)
My 1st to be sack in the Championship is Ray Rooney
Far to early to say who’s going to finish were - As we haven’t seen who’s doing what in the Transfer Window Yet!
However I think Sheffield Wednesday will be DARK Horses 🐎 this season as our Crazy Chairman Mr Chansiri as told Danny Rohl that he will back him that’s why he’s signed a New 3 Year Contract
Nothings a guarantee in Football but I fancy QPR to have a decent season
Sending love from SHEFFIELD
SWFC-Hillsborough 💙👍👊
Championship royalty himself.
QPR will be up there i reckon
Really surprised with the Portsmouth and Derby predictions. I would hope Wednesday would finish above both
Archer is going back to Villa Blades might struggle ⚔️🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪⚔️
Blades ownership up in air hopefully sorted in next few weeks then we need about 7 quality signings busy window for wilder. Could be anywhere from 1 to 24 at the moment
I think Boro will finish in the playoffs. Not sure about 3rd though Ben.
Do you remember what odds Ipswich were getting this time last year
This time last year I had £5 e.way on Ipswich at 20/1 qrt the odds 3 places had £30 back Missed out on £135 by One Point !!
Sorry Plymouth, poor choice of manager.rooney sacked in no time!
Small bet on QPR for the playoffs
Sorry but if Derby or Pompey finish half way up it will have absolutely nothing to do with ‘momentum’. Instead it will be a mixture of luck and the quality of their squad and manager compared to the other teams.
Luton got good chance think top four got 80 pts last time. Got much better squard this time. Think joe taylor will score alot of goals.
As a Derby fan I'm amazed our promotion odds are the same as Hull's. Maybe in a couple of years...
There's nearly always one club that comes up and does well Derby or Portsmouth or even both
Think it will depend on our team rebuild and if PW can get it right tactically at this level. Admit I was very surprised like most that LR got the boot at Hull. Will prove to be a good manager after he has had a bit more experience. Burnley or even Sunderland would be good fit for him imo.
Stoke to finish in top six
Oh God NOOOOOO ! Don’t want the Blades anywhere near the Play Offs 😂
I think Norwich will find it hard going I'd be surprised if Norwich make the play offs with this rebuild that's going on can't see Burnley being that high myself
Worth a tenner in my book at 12/1
Based on last season you could swap the two Sheffield clubs
I'm of course bias but how TF is Preston placed 22nd. We came 10tu and will have our largest ever transfer budget this summer. But even without spending a penny to have us 22nd is nuts. I mean you can't find a safer survival bet in the Champ than us and Bristol. So I have no idea what the bookies are smoking
If Millwall get actually get balotelli I can see us back to pushing for the play offs again
When I’ve watched Blackburn either at Bramall Lane or on tv I thought they always played good football, over several seasons
I don’t know why ppl are obsessed with Middlesbrough. Every time people say they are getting promoted, they have an awful season
i will eat my own hat if we finish 12th or above lol
Is this just for who will win the league? If so that book is totally underpriced in other words bookmakers are shockingly offering lower odds than the teams actual chance, cover the odds into percentages and add them up, youd think they should add up to 100% or in bookies case add another 10% for a bit of a profit, looks more like a 130% book, robbing greedy bastards, have a look at the same market on an exhange think you,ll find youd get something like well over 100/1 for the likes of oxford and Plymouth , 25 or even 30s for the likes of Watford and Derby.
Cameron Archer had a clause Ben where if Blades were relegated Villa had to buy him back for £14m! So he's a Blade no longer
Watford will be the surprise!
Yeah for relegation 😊😊😊
Yeah they’ll be relegated
What for not to get first in the sack race. Lol.
Well, bookmakers never go bankrupt, but most of where they have those teams I wouldn't be putting them in those places. As far as bookmakers are concerned, it won't matter because the short odds will be offset by the other 23 clubs. You surely must have put a fiver/tenner on Ipswich going up Ben. We will see. I see Luton winning it with 110 goals and 110 points, but that's why I never win anything😂
17 to 22 is bonkers, all those clubs will be higher placed.
Why Middlesborough 3rd??? No Way
Whatever - but it is as likely to be as exciting as ever. UTC
Heyup Ben, if we lose Summerville, Gnonto, Gruev & Gray along with Roden, Roberts & Anthony, it's gonna be a big ask to replace them.................playoffs again me thinks.
Current first 11 with those outgoings would be bamford, rutter, aaronson, james, ampadu, kamara, byram, creswell, strujik, firpo, meslier. A team that would still do well in the champo. Need a few buys and a few loans and were good.
@@andyd8434 I think Creswell is on his way out Andy.
gray isnt going anywhere because we dont need the money if summerville and gnonto leave, rodon will be signed or loaned again
@@lightninggornall As much as I rate the guy, I can't see Roden coming back, there is too much interest in him.
@@bigmallly7863 rodon wants to come back, I think it will happen, he will be back to play with his mates ampadu and james
MOT.
I'm just happy Derby aren't 80/1 😂,, onwards and upwards.
Be careful what you wish for - they could end up being 200/1- get your money on Rooney to balooney - DEAD CERT
Wednesday's position doesn't really surprise me, it's not that Wednesday fans don't have confidence in Danny Röhl, rather that we have every confidence in Chansiri's ability to royally fizz things up!
I’d say Boro going up but they always disappoint
Wouldn't surprise me if we got relegated.
Sad, but true. I really think that is a possibility. (Blade here)
The league is def weaker than last season, early days,Leeds should walk it,middlesboro fans will demand at least a playoff or auto spot and my team Millwall at the moment with no signings will struggle in bottom half.
Ain’t got a dad, or a mum for that matter. Died 1992, and 1982 respectively.
Argyle are down. It pains me to say so but this appointment has made us a laughing stock. The only question is whether we are mathematically relegated in February or March. It's tragic.
They can laugh all they want. The last laugh will be ours, wait and see...
@@adcollesp I hope you;re right my friend but I just can't see it.
Millwall much higher
Top half finish for millwall, that will do me.
Millwall 19, no way. 10-12
Bookies are always way off with Hull City
Cardiff relegated. Burnley in play offs. Luton and Leeds up.
I would put Middlesborough, Coventry, Norwich, West Brom, Burnley, Sunderland, Portsmouth for the top spots, don't believe Luton and Leeds will do well this year...
Bookies are really poor judges at this time of the season they just play safe with big clubs/names they will get a few right with this but some will be horrendously wrong.
Plymouth defently fucked Oxford will do well
sunderland having another underwhelming season
Good video Ben. Its never too early for things like this. My biaised opinion for the 2024/2025 Championship Season is as follows I see Sheff United doing better than Burnley this season. I see Leeds just making the play offs and maybe actually winning them.

If Blades get new owners with ambition then we'll finish anywhere in the top 6, if Abdullah is pocketing the parachute payments and there is no genuine takeover (just all smoke and mirrors) then itll be shopping for tesco value players and we'll be finishing bottom six or possibly relegated.
