Will that barrel be released as a standalone piece?
Not at this time, but we're working towards a time when more stuff like this can be available outside of kits. Hard to say when/if we'll get there, but it's certainly a goal for us.
@@brickmaniatoys Thats great. I wonder if you will use 3d printed barrels in more kits in the future. They certainly add more realism to kits, especially when barrel thickness cant be replicated with ordinary bricks.
@@lord4459 It won't become a standard across the board, but for icons like 131 and the Abrams we plan to continue to innovate.
toomany custom parts for my taste
Can’t understand why people would buy this. Lacks so much creativity to just create a new part to solve an issue. Brickarms are obviously fine but all these 3D parts just seem lazy to me
This one is fine to me, there’s not too many unnecessary custom parts, I can justify the barrel to get that iconic look, and the drive wheel is probably to get it to roll well.
It’s better than other kits like the Panther that has custom printing across every piece on the whole tank for the camo instead of being brick built. Or like the panzer IV where they they used custom pieces for the side skirts and turret armor, I prefer brick built for those
The tiger tank is so sick! Might need to pick one up. You guys should do a whole wave of kits from the African campaign of wwII!

This kit is incredible and I just purchased the last one on the website, I definitely agree that the loudest complainers never buy kits in the first place. Keep up the great work and I cannot wait for the future kits!!!

The best design that we have been able to witness of the tiger 1 without a doubt, perhaps it may be my first brickmania kit.

I'd also like to add with people not liking the more reliant use of 3d printing, I get it. I mean at what point do you say we'll we 3d print so much of this now why not just 3d print the whole thing, and just make it a normal model that can fit lego minifigs.

Hello Brickmania I have a cool suggestion. Maybe next time you make a gpnvg or some kind of night vision you could put glow on the dark paint on the ends of the googles or even printing if possible. I just think that would look pretty cool and my recent purchase of the Neptune spear figure made me think of this lol.

I think the majority of the community isn’t full on Purist, but sometimes it’s just really what the Customer really says and wants that matters.
We definitely take our customers seriously. Many of the loudest voices complaining about the new barrel are are not actually paying customers. That doesn't mean they can't have an opinion, but it's certainly going to weigh a lot less when we make decisions on what we're including in our kits. So far the 3D printed parts have been well received and people are definitely voting with their pocket books. It's not like every kit is going to be loaded down with custom parts, but there are some in almost every kit now. That's what we do, because that's what our customers want, AND it also makes our jobs a hell of a lot more interesting.

I have 10 Tiger I from 4 designers, including a 2003 Tiger I with the box from Dan. Only 15 of those were made.

Some of the headgear is possible maybe, but the minifigs are definitely kit exclusive

Seeing as they never made it into production we probably wouldn't make a kit. This isn't a firm "no" because we have made a few other experimental tanks, but they are a rare item for us to release.

What I did was I purchase Indiana Jones, mini figures and then just put their stickers on them if I didn’t like what they looked like and then I could put the Sholom on their head the tan one
