Cant wait anymore. When ever people talk avout COD they talk about the problems. Packet burst, SBMM, HD space, insane bundle prices etc. F@k Call of Duty. Best thing I ever did was to uninstall that mental decay of a game. COD is not a game, it’s a shop simulator with a shooter add-on.

@@liamchapman6889it’s a free game, that’s why. They’re focusing more on the actual game play instead of marketing it like cod does. Every year call of duty spends millions on ads; and then releases an unfinished game. In actual happy they’re not putting ads everywhere. It means they’re working on making the game perfect for launch, ofc every game has bugs but i have high hopes for them.
The “units” currency is actually usually really easy to earn its just in game challenges. Ive earned a ton of them just playing assassins creed games and cloud playing some of their other old games on game pass

You can play other new Ubisoft titles and complete those challenges to get the coins for your Ubisoft acc, the main ones at the moment are rainbow 6 and ghost recon breakpoint

the credit balance you mentioned in the uplay game store around 3:28 has been a ubisoft thing for years, it has you do missions for the games they put out and then you earn points to spend on simple things to help you in the game sometimes or however you see fit in most cases

Reason COD has 200-300gbs of downloads needed is because devs don’t want you to play any other games on your console, only cod and to spend money in its shop

The Ubisoft units system has existed for time now. It's gone through many iterations but I know that back in the day with the old Assassin's Creed games, you could save up these points just by playing and completing the game. You could then spend these in the store and get a special outfit for Ezio or something along those lines. Not sure if you're able to outright buy them nowadays like COD Points but that's basically the gist of them.
I was hyped to play this weekend until i realized it releases on the 21st. i think its crazy it didn't start on a Friday instead a Tuesday....
I haven’t touched COD since Xmas time and haven’t loved it the last few years and have only lasted a couple months after each launch. I miss playing a good shooter online - hoping I love this.
You can get units via other games as other Ubisoft games do this with some exceptions.
Units are Ubisoft points. I recently got into Watch Dogs: Legion, and I would just sort of passively accrue units and be able to redeem them for various cosmetic awards. It was kinda cool, though it didn't always work. There were a few rewards that just never actually appeared in my inventory in-game. Hopefully xDefiant will avoid that.

Ubisoft always had units as a currency and it is for all ubisoft games. Complete core challenges give units, and then you spend units on in game items/digital content. And it is for all ubisoft games. Some stuff is free some cost units. It always existed in ubisoft connect.
The last time I felt this excited for a new shooter game was back in 2019. I definitely miss the feeling.

@@lalter_MW2019 had the potential to be a top tier cod. Best recoil system & movement. They just hurt it with super large complex map design & SBMM. 2v2 Gunfight was goated tho

@@CornFed_3 2v2 Gunfight was the best comp mode they’ve released in years. At least that version of it. Cold wars wasn’t nearly as good. The engine itself they used on MW2019 was amazing in terms of animations & graphical Improvements. The Predictive recoil system was great so that way you could get familiar with each weapons unique recoil pattern. Where the game failed was at creative design. The maps were way too big with too many lines of sight. The 725 was broken for so long. If I remember Ghost didn’t work properly. Lots of head glitch spots since they introduced mounting. Too many doors. The game had potential tho

XDefiant is 35 GB while The Finals is 15 GB max (with all the destructible environment). Something to think about.

Well i have a 4TB external drive for my PS4, space is never an issue.
Im hype yet seriously concerned at the same time because of all the play tests I've played have been so bad hit reg and net code and all the shit that makes it feel like ass im concerned it's still there. it was there at the server test. i pray its butter smooth on release

I've not properly played a FPS since Cod 4 remastered. Considering giving this a go given the pedigree behind it, however, a little on the fence. Kind of looks like a black ops 3/future warfare setting, which I'm not massively keen on - if they'd of pulled it back in line with current time, or same era as COD 4 I'd of been straight on this, perhaps it's just rose tinted glasses that gives me this outlook.
35GB is awesome! I never understood why COD got so big in size when all of The Witcher 3, before the next-gen version, is 45 GB. Even after it got the next gen update, it's like 60. COD is over 200. Also why can't Activision go back and give their older COD games next-gen patches???

all they got to do is stay true to the fans and the fans will stay true to the game
I really hope they can nail progression and prestige, everything else seems at least good to great to me. Good amount of content, perfect update cadence, (6 weeks per season) NO SBMM. I was also pleasantly surprised just how different it was from cod when I played the beta, I thought it would be just a clunkier version of cod but it actually did a great job of being different and unique. So much potential with this game, devs just need to hone in on what makes the game special and it can definitely co exist with games like COD.

Honestly I don’t care if it falls off in 6 months I just need something new to grind. I wish this game launched 2 years ago cause now they are gonna be competing with black ops, call of duty’s only good developers lol. Hopefully this game stays alive and can compete.
Since i started playing Hell Let Loose i kinda forgot all about this game not to mention once you play that all the other shooter games feel kinda silly 🤷🏾♂️

I'm going to wait for a post launch review of the game. A few weeks ago when they had another play test you said that the game still had d sync and lag issues. If the experience is anything like Call of duty I'm deleting the game immediately. I just don't have the patience anymore. Now they've had more than enough time to get the servers and lag issues straight. If I experience anything like this myself the game is going off. There is nothing more frustrating than to be the better player or get one up on the enemy only to lose gunfights because d sync and lag.
I am hype to play it hope it really good no more cod for me.

Hopefully, this game survives. Even though I have full faith that this game will rock, I still have a gut feeling it might die or something. Doesn't matter if people call it the "COD Killer", even if it doesn't kill COD, I will be happy if it makes it's own identity.

Havent bought a CoD game since Cold War,and I only played that for a month.
So..while I wasnt crazy about the first beta,well,I only played a handful of games..I am interested when the full game launches.
Im defo rusty now for playing a MP online shooter,so hopefully it will still be fun easing into it after all this time.

One of the reason the cod file size is so bloated is from the sheer volume of cosmetics the game has. The 4K textured and high quality sound files are likely what makes up a VAST majority of the size

Im not gonna be hating or really loving it but sadly i already moved on and actually hyped on season 4 in MW23 but XDefiant had to delay over 9 months and ppl already know its no longer a "cod killer" instead it delayed and killed itself.
