Former BBC producer Peter Batty's documentary from 1985 which details the making and testing of the first atomic bombs. It contains rare, previously classified archive footage obtained from the US military. The programme traces the early experiments in Nazi Germany to the establishment of the "Manhattan Project" in the USA.

Good to see James Tuck ,he was an English explosive expert who had developed shaped charges as an antitank weapon, together with George Kristowski worked out a system of slow and fast explosive lenses to crush the plutonium core precisely .

Fat man specifically is the bomb for the Nagasaki drop, not the one at the Trinity test. The one at the Trinity test was just nicknamed 'gadget.'
