    I didn't clean my K8 machine for almost 2 years. Here's my results after following video.
    START DATA:
    2.5pH = +778mV
    11.5pH = -226mV
    9.5pH = -136mV
    FINISH DATA
    2.5pH = +1132mV (45% improvement)
    11.5pH = -834mV (369% improvement)
    9.5pH = -564mV (414% improvement)
    NOTES:
    - I used 1 cup citric acid & 1 cup CLR
    - Ran pump 7 hours through input tube (normal)
    - Ran pump 3 hours through the acid tube (reversed)
    - Flushed ~55min then another 5 minutes with new filter
    Thanks!

    Thank you for making this video. The knowledge that you gave me in this I am now going to start doing them because I was told to bring my machine in by the local Enagic sales people and they would have it done in three hours complete. problem is my machine was sitting for about five months i’m sure it has a lot of buildup. Following your instructions it should’ve taken a lot longer than that so I questioned it and I’m glad I did so I will buy a new pump and I will start doing it myself because you can’t trust people and it’s a shame. Thanks so much for making this video! I used to use a fish pump to do a similar process but glad you mentioned the benefits of a professional grade pump. Just purchased one from the ionfaucet link you shared. I have a K8 which I haven't cleaned in well over a year, maybe 2... really looking forward to giving her a proper deep clean, she's not hitting like she used to - very few bubbles at all and my orp meter measures 2.5 at +778mV, 11.5 at -226mV and 9.5 at -136mV. When I first measured 9.5 without first measuring the 2.5 followed by 11.5, my 9.5 was struggling to even make a negative ORP (was measuring +21mV and very slowly declining). This is probably a worst case scenario to be in for a K8. I will try your method to a T and report back the improvements as a testimony for you 👍 thanks again! Only reservation is i'm a little nervous about using CLR, seems like it could be a health risk - I do have soft water, but given how bad my machine is right now im planning on using it. How comfortable are you with the CLR from health/safety perspective? Thanks again for making a great video!! GOD BLESS!!! 🙏🏼❤🙏🏼

    • @budzoflove4891
      @budzoflove4891 Před 3 lety +4

      I'm apart of a facebook community through our distributors upline and did some reading today - it seems there are some legitimate concerns with using CLR.
      From the MSDS for the CLR product:
      INGESTION: Oral burns, vomiting, and gastrointestinal disturbance.
      SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged contact may cause dermatitis, and itching.
      INHALATION: Irritation, breathing difficulties, headaches, dizziness.
      EYE CONTACT: Irritation and blurred vision. Effects may vary depending on length of exposure, solution
      concentration, and first aid measures. Prolonged contact may cause permanent damage.
      From what I've read on the Facebook group it seems that CLR is not only toxic, but it eats away at the plates and could also void warranty... are you sure this is how they perform the deep clean when sent into Enagic?

    Thank you for taking the time to create such amazing content you are a true credit to the enagic team and a great teacher!
    I have one question if i may ask?
    I have a K8 and i am gonna deep clean it for the first time (I have had it for 5 years) unfortunately i was completely unaware that you are suppose to do this procedure. But i do now thanks to you. The current MV is like -67 right now so God willing it should come out well i am leaving it for 10 hours i added citric acid and white vinegar i didnt have clr but our water is soft anyway.
    However since i have had the machine from day one the ph on the 9.5 always reads 10.4 PH. I have reduced it on the settings and it came down to 10.4 from like 10.8!
    I am hoping the deep clean will help. However i read in the comments where you said the chemicals in the water are raising the ph too high. I believe that may also be the case in Manchester UK where i am from.
    Is there any solution to this issue? And will drinking this high PH be detrimental to the health in the long term do you think?
    Thanks in advance, stay blessed 🙌

      @@ssk3098 yes thank you for such an amazing question it has to be more concentrated for the deep cleaning what I always use is 1.6 L of water and one 8 ounce cup of citric acid And if you have hard water I would use 4 ounce cup of CLR if not you can use 2 ounce cup of CLR

      @ssk3098 Před 2 lety

      @Mehdi Cohen
      Thank you very much for your quick response and input.
      I googled n got this :
      1 milliliter of citric acid is equivalent 1.66 grams.
      So, E-cleaning using 2x30gm into 400ml water, it forms a solution with a concentration of (60gm/1.66gm per ml )÷400ml of water = 0.09, i.e.9% of concentration.
      By this calculation, your deep cleaning solution concentration = (citric acid 8oz or 393gm ÷ 1.66gm per ml ) ÷ water 1600ml =citric 236.75ml ÷ water 1600ml = 0.148, i.e. 14.8% , round off to 15%.
      This is 6% more in concentration.
      Do correct me if I did make a mistake in my calculations. Thank you all.
      Good night !

    Great video. I have 2 questions please:
    1. I have an SD-501 Platinum and I run maybe 3 - 5 gallons through it a day as it's just me. How often should I clean it just with the citric acid, and how often should I deep clean it? I dont have hard water, and never saw any calcium flakes in any of my water. Machine is 4 years old.
    2. The Little Giant 581503
    Pump you linked to, it doesnt come with the bucket, hoses, or platform? I see Ionfaucet sells the whole thing for like $455.00.
    Thank you and God Bless you.

      So I would recommend to do an E cleaning every month and whenever the machine asks you to replace a filter I will do the deep cleaning I give people both options about the pump but I am about to start selling them myself a little bit cheaper than Ionfaucet if you have any more questions you can contact me in Facebook or Instagram

      @@mehdicohen Thank you kindly for taking the time to reply. I would like to buy a pump from you. I have been E-cleaning my machine every 2 weeks since I installed it 4 years ago. I have never deep cleaned it, and I think I measured my ORP to be about -700mv about 6 months ago. So I would gladly give you my business as you really take it seriously and put the time in to help people!!

Also now with severe drought and water shortage in CA people should not be leaving water running and wasting for 40 or even 20 minutes. And like I always say you can just send it to ENAGIC and be done with it but trust me when I say that’s the same way they do it lol to everyone’s machine…
