Gloria Umanah (@gloriaumanah) is a speaker, spoken word artist, and creative director based out of Atlanta, Georgia! Gloria has worked alongside and has spoken on various platforms such as, Liberty University Convocation, LifeWay, Passion City Church, Fresh Life Church, and more. Gloria once said, "In life always pick the more risky option - that's what Jesus did" and in 2016 while attending Liberty University Gloria left her comfort zone and abandoned her secure plans of working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations and instead followed her passion to share the power of the Gospel through teaching the word of God through speaking and spoken word poems which have reached over 2 million individuals. After graduating from Liberty University in May 2017, Gloria began touring around the United States with several different artists, conferences, camps, and churches using her creativity and voice to bring to light the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This blessed me. Your story seems to pattern after mine, when I consider it closely. I write. And most times, about things that built(and are still building) and things that broke me at some point (getting the 'you're not good enough' from people till I took it as my fate). But now, with every confidence I can muster (God help me) I sense a calling in Spoken Word, Teaching and Preaching ministry, just like you. And although I fidget at the thought, I'm ready to learn and grow. When the Holy Spirit used someone to lead me to you, I thought it was just happenstance, but it turns out, this is a major connection on the path to fulfilling purpose. I am Nigerian too sis! Thank you for being such a great inspiration. I love you already 😘

Though I've got a question, but it has to do with spoken word anyway😊
Sometimes I feel I'm ready but not ready for the whole "spoken word thing" reason is cuz I don't feel or think I know enough and there are others who can do better than I can.
Ever heard this feeling? What's your thought and advice for me??

Also ,what I would love to ask aside from spoken word is that while you were growing did the question "what is my purpose" ever cross your mind in the course of prayer . I am a victim of this and I'm still yet to know my purpose .

I enjoy eating Nigerian Jollof as well. I can definitely relate to the issue of suicide. By God's grace, He intervened during the eighth-grade year when I attempted suicide due to being bullied frequently in school. I am glad to connect with a sister in Christ who shares spoken word content for God's glory. ❤
