    U.S. Marines with 3d Recon Battalion, 3d Marine Division, and Philippine Marines with Force Recon Group, conduct a close-quarters battle range during Balikatan 22 at Marine Barracks Gregorio Lim, Cavite, Philippines, April 2, 2022. Balikatan is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences. The 3,800 AFP members and 5,100 U.S. military personnel will train shoulder-to-shoulder focusing on maritime security, amphibious operations, live-fire training, urban operations, aviation operations, counterterrorism, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

      What made so many tall people (in our country's standards, I think) join the military that the average height became 6 feet? Like I said anyone can join the military if their height is higher than 5 feet, so I don't really think that the average height can be that high, but if you have proof that can prove me wrong, I would gladly read it. Also, I've met and seen people over 6 feet and have watched a lot of videos with our country's soldiers in it, but I think that 90% of them haven't even reached 6 feet yet.

    • @vally3475
      @vally3475 Před 2 lety +4

      Well holding the rifle in that way is called a c clamp I believe, it makes it easier to control the recoil, this can be paired by having your four fingers on the foregrip while using the thumb to clamp the handgaurd, usually this will depend on what kind of foregrip you have albeit a regular or stubby sized one.
      Though I’ve only held airsoft rifles before, never a real firearm because my country doesn’t like those.

      @@rawr5974 night vision goggles are exponentially more expensive than optics therefore it is not cost effective for our military who is currently struggling to modernize. Even in jungle ops, optics are essential regardless if it is for CQB or long range engagements. Look at our neighbors, the Indonesians and Malaysians - militaries that are just as well versed into jungle fighting as our soldiers. I’ve had significant experience working with them and they would fight and even pay for their own optics. Not preferring optics is a desperate excuse by over-proud Filipinos for our government who is still unable to procure optics for all of our troops.
