FAQ:
Q: Can I send you a deck to check out?
A: Only patrons can send me decks and expect a reply, because I get too many of these requests to manage. Consider joining the discord (links above) and posting your decks in the #decks channel for community feedback.
Q: Why didn’t you play this certain card I would play?
A: Because I don’t think it is as good as every other card in the deck.
Q: Why did you make that play at time stamp XX:XX?
A: I usually talk through my plays, so watch again and see if I mention it (I often do, sometimes during the turn after the play to keep the video moving). If I don’t mention it at all, I may have missed it. I miss plays several times a day, and so do other players.
Q: How can I support the channel?
A: Watching the videos IS supporting the channel. There are many options above if you have extra money and would like to help more. I appreciate it, I have a lot of bills and life stuff to manage, but it is not required. Take care of yourself first, watch the videos, then give other financial support if you really want to.
Q: Will you play janky deck xyz?
A: My mission is to show people decks that they can play often, win games with, and feel successful with. I don’t enjoy decks that strive to achieve an interaction but rarely win (aka, janky decks). There are many successful jank players on CZcams, and you should check out their channels. I am competitive, I like winning, and I like helping others win and feel successful. That is why you won’t see janky combo decks on the channel very often.
Q: Do you show all your games, or do you edit out your losses?
A: I don’t show all my games. The video is usually the best moments of between one and three hours of recording. I remove games for a number of reasons, both wins and losses. Some games are slow, some aren’t competitive because of lands, some are the same matchup over and over. More losses get cut out than wins because winning is more fun for me, which makes for better content for most viewers. It can be disappointing for those who want to see me lose (yes, people watch just to see me lose, I see you!).
Q: If you edit out some of your losses, how do I know if a deck is good and worth crafting?
A: If you watch the entire video, I always give my honest opinion about the deck at the end. As always, you are welcome to draw your own conclusions. My goal is to show off a variety of decks that can get a player with skill and conviction into Mythic, and I want them to have fun doing it. I almost never show a video of a deck that I don’t believe in, and if I don’t like a deck after playing it, I guarantee you will know about it if you watch the whole video and listen to what I have to say.

Netdecking is fine, no need to worry about it. The most interesting part is how *you* pilot these decks with adaptation to BO1 meta. Keep up the good work and thanks!
indeed !!!!!
With a limited cardpool where probably 60% of the cards are unplayable vs the other 40%, and that cards rotate out, netdecking will always be a thing. Because naturally a lot of people will make decks very similar to net decks.
Arranging a logical 60 out of a few hundred cards hardly can count as intellectual property. It's not like it's a revolutionary modern combo deck.
An when the standard pool is at its smallest.
I agree. Saying you can't net deck is like saying every professional racer has to build their own car from scratch.
Let’s be real here... a lot of us probably check out your channel to find new decks to play... ie, we NET-DECK. Thanks for all the cool content, I’ve enjoyed playing many of your decks you’ve featured that I never would have come up with on my own!
Seriously. I dont understand why people get so butthurt over net decking. You still have to be able to pilot the deck well to succeed with it. Please keep net decking cgb! Otherwise we wouldnt have seen alot of cool decks you have posted.
@@chefboyardab also, building a deck is a part of the game but it's obviously less imporant than actually playing the game. Not everybody gets joy/fun by brewing.
Another comment to support the message of OP
How arrogant are the people who need to be the one to create a deck.
The deck was created by research and development, the hidden inside a bunch trash and draft filler.
It's a puzzle from a known picture, man, and lots of people are organically finding solutions all the time.
Noone created a single deck, except they work at wizards.
Thanks for the content.
Edit
I'm agreed with you btw.
I'm way too casual to be coming up with my own stuff. So it's either look something up online or watch a video suggesting one
You and Numot will always be my go tos! I’m so excited that you are playing Nummy’s deck. When I started watching CZcams for MTG content I watched you for standard and him for limited! This is super awesome!!!
Love it! Looking out for the little guy, you're the man. "Be nice to people" is a great way to live. Keep it up.
You are doing great work thanks for bringing these decks you find on the net. they need to be shown and you show how they can be played. Cheers
Hey Cgb, i went silver to plat today grinding mono red in a little over an hour. Singing your song the whole time. Flint MI representing.
Nemesis located 😂
Getting past plat is so hard :( I cant find the answer
Every hero needs a villain.
Is there a link to the full song??

To CGB...
Don't listen to the noise. I don't care if your decks are your own creations, or inspired by others, keep going. You've helped me, and made me a better player. I don't always agree with your play in a given situation, but that's what makes the game great/fun (and I'll admit that your instincts are way better than mine).
I've referred you to some friends who are just getting into Arena, and will assist you in your mission to 100,000 subs however I can. I wouldn't do that if I didn't enjoy what you put out every day. Thank you for making these videos. I look forward to them every day. With that being said if you ever need a day off, do what you need to do for yourself. I'll watch a rerun.
Thank you...
18:42 "What else comes in threes on Questing Beast?" OwO
It's probably just as spiky as the heads too
And this is how it hits planeswalkers
Long time follower, not a commenter... to your statement at the beginning totally agree and you do you! Keep up the great content! As to net decking I mean at times you find the core mechanics you like and splash what works for you, nothing is never set in stone.
I think this is a good intro talk, a nice fireside chat with CGB
I'm still laughing about the Questing beast question. Totally out of the blue 😂
Hung like an echidna.
Out of the (CovertGo)Blue
I don't ever mind you playing decks you didn't create yourself. Keep up the awesome content. It's great to see how different players think through the different lines of play. It's also fun to see the minor tweaks you make to the deck lists.
Another nice deck. I see a lot of cool decks because of you and I don't care if you made them yourself or if you saw it somewhere. I know you put a lot of effort into your own creations and I don't expect that you can do that every day.
Thank you for the great content :)
Really respect your approach as a content creator....it's humbling and realistic.
I played a similar deck when Ravnica was around with Season of Growth and other adventure creatures like faerie guidemother and such that targeted my own creatures, a bit of removal with conclave tribunal and giant killer, and a general go-wide strat with Trostani Discordant, March of the Multitudes, and Elspeth Sun's Nemesis which -1 ability paired well with the guidemother's adventure. The Scrys from Season of growth and occasional card-draw from the adventures helped me find any potential answers to my opponent's threats while also being able to keep pressure on my opponent with my weenies.
I find it extremely important to watch content on meta/netdecks. I don't have the time to play against decks over and over again like I used to, so its helpful to gain insight on what someone playing whatever is popular at the moment. Channels exist for both, cant we all just get along?
net deck it up, watching you pilot these decks is what makes your videos great!
CGB IS DA BEST, CGB NUMBA ONE! CLAP CLAP
Great video as always! Thanks for the content! You rock man!
i've never really hated net-decking, but my enjoyment of magic comes from the freedom deck building provides.
jank, good, bad? all fine i got to figure out what didn't work
I like the creativity of you and others (Mono Black mainly) but I recognize that that stuff wears people out, myself included. So I appreciate the "net decked" videos too. Thanks CGB!
As always a lot of fun but also useful advice, information and presentation that is awesome!
Love the videos! I made it to platinum thanks to you keep up the good work
Day 4 of thanking CGB for his daily videos
Green/white has always been a good combination depending on what style you like.
@@paulhorton5168 sorry bad wording. I always have fun making green white decks, but I've felt with the state of standard since WAR that it's been difficult (t least for me) to get Selesnya midrange to be competitive.
Well green white is nice, ramping manas, ramping creatures, powerful & useful planeswalkers, board wipes, exile cards, tokens, life gain, drawing...the only thing that is missing is counterspells :p
@@mahdi0284 Actually there are some white counterspells but not for several years and none of them in standard or even I think Modern formats
@@paulhorton5168 Hello Paul ! Oh really ? I didn't know there were white counterspells. I knew there were some instant cards like 'you get indestructible' 'you get protection from the color of your choice', but 'counter a target spell or target creature ?' Can you please name those counterspell cards I'd be interested to take a look at them
? :)
Since almost everyone in the comment section (as of this point in the video's lifespan) is talking about the last game and how his opponent missed lethal: no, they didn't. Emeria's Call made all of CGB's Non-Angel creatures indestructible, so any tricks with Scavenging Ooze were impossible.
No, but he could have eaten one of his own creatures from his graveyard and survived with 2 life instead. No lethal, but still a chance
Thanks for the daily content, whether you built the deck or someone else!
As someone who has seen some of his brews played by some streamers, I love seeing the mixture of own brew vs "netdeck".
3:56 - 3:58ish, gotta be fast.... Love the content, thank you for your time and passion.
After months of watching your vids and realizing how much sodium chloride i intake on a daily basis due to the fact, i finally decided to subscribe which ive done of all maybe twice to any channels... xD Nice vids man. Entertaining to say the least, keep up the good work and content! Just tried this deck and found it extremely fun!
Great Henge and Skyclave Apparition have made so many Selesnya Decks viable this season. It's beautiful.
Man, you're amazing content creator e player. Thank you for the incredible streak and content
Shepherd is super underrated. The fact that it's fairly costed Adventure card alone makes it good.
Try it with ecd. Go full control before last chapter triggers then bounce ecd with last chapter on the stack, gets the creature/pw on board and the ecd in hand
Last game was dope. Lotta work put in and it feels so good when it pays off against a deck that feels so bad to lose to sometimes.
cgb, netdecking is cool, you bring others idea to your skills in magic, however sometimes i would like to see some creative cgb brews, not something janky but something creative and kinda competitive, keep up the good work man, you are kinda saving my quarantine :)
That last game was insane. Nice vid
The last match was epic man, congrats!
Good job especially for dropkicking monored.
Another excellent video!
I'm fine with CGB netdecking the top new decks from pro players and tournaments. It's a useful way to keep up with a section of the meta I don't follow so much.
Who cares about net decking? I like CGB thats why im here every day
"dead to a good rogue draw" is 100% of decks imo
Good speech at the start about netdecking. Nothing wrong with it at all, i personally try to build my own but i would not blame anyone for using what works
Good job cgb, your content is awesome. Take it easy man
When you play original decks all day, you become a mad lad like MTG Arena Original Decks.
Skyclave apparition is scary good. Blinking it together with glass casket etc is essentially a slow choking boardwipe.
I forgot the 3 headed flavour of QB. A bigger flavour win that I completely missed is CHARMing prince having the classic 3 choices
Every day I wake up praying that CGB finally uploaded a non Yorion deck, today finally I was not disappointed :D
Hi CGB, I'm new in the Magic Universe, startet this year. I am sad to hear that people complain about netdecking. For me the most important thing is, I like the way you explain decks, share your thoughts with us and so much more you do as a content creator, that is the main thing. I like you and the videos you make, hope you go on with your cool stuff and thank you for all your work. Greetings from a small light in a big Magic Universe
It is ludicrous any one would give you a hard time about netdecking. You are doing a great job bring us content every day. I appreciate you.
I don’t mind when you net deck it helps me figure out I’m going to have to play against also I don’t have a bunch of time to research net decks so when I come to your channel and I see you playing a net deck it helps I take my notes and get ready
Have you done the underworld dreams / peer into combo yet? If not I'd love to see how you would build that deck. Thank you so much again for the daily content. Love it. Keep up the good work😁
Good job with the deck, I've been watching nummy play this and one piece of advise on it is that the point of the mammoth is to get the henge out. Didn't see you get the opportunity for this, just wanted to point it out
The Deck lists that got 6 or more consecutive wins and be posted on magicgg are exclusive to traditional standard ranked and traditional historic ranked
I recognise that intro jingle from an old Yugioh game on the Gameboy Advance... Or st least it reminded me of it!
I don't think many on my decks are netdecks, but I did netdeck enigmatic etrata from Absurd Heroine. Then I edited it because Etrata went to historic and new sets came in. Like trial of strength.
You should try GW cycling with fiend artisan. Fiend can get huge really quick while getting trample and lifelink. The artisan can also search up removal for anything which is just sick, and getting back an 11/11 trampler with ECD is pretty good too.
Only decks with win streaks in traditional matches (that's bo3) get uploaded to the magic-dot-gg. And only if they shares less that 55 cards with existing decks.
As long as anyone doesn't netdeck and claim to be the creator I'm fine. I think it's great what you do to promote the creator of the deck, because creating a good deck from scratch is hard! It takes a lot of analyzing the meta, playtesting, failing, rebuilding etc, it takes weeks. I'm not sure I've done it ever lately. The most common is that I see a deck that looks fun to play, i'll import it and tweak it to my "taste" and if I like it I'll keep it. The closest to create my own deck is when I first saw my opponent do the Eidolon+deadweight trick, that inspired me to do a monoblack Lurrus deck.
One of the best deck you have bring to us...
You know it kills me when people complain on a subject in comments if your unhappy and dislike the content just dont watch it seems better than attacking someone's hard work and dedication netdecking may not be original but it does highlight others creativity and show how something you haven't seen works seems like a good idea to me maybe I'm out of line hope everyone is ok and getting through this tough time cgb your awesome dude keep it up man
Whoever is complaining about netdecking has something wrong with them. Nothing wrong with that. You give a nice selection of different decks every day and I love it. Also I watched Nummy play this and was excited when I saw you made it for best of 1!
55:40 "and there's nothing in the graveyard with first strike"
Why not?
Edit: okay, I get it: the creatures are indestructible (except the angel tokens, but those don't go to the graveyard).
Yes, netdecking is completely fine. Keep up the good work, love your content.
Have you ever considered making a deck with Teferi's Tutelage; Teferi's Ageless Insight; Rielle, The Everwise; and Channeling Force? If you have the first three cards on the battlefield and play channeling force, you can discard any number of cards, for example, 12, and in total you will draw 48 cards and the opponent will mill 96. So with a card that gives you no maximum hand size then you can have card drawing filler in the deck and build up until you can mill their entire deck in one turn
Last game was masterclass of magic and patience!
I've been in MTG on and off since its inception in 1991. I'm looking forward to WOC coming out with the set committed to D&D coming in 2021. Any thoughts on that?
Cgb you are a great person and actually show your fan how you feel keep up the great work. Screw the hater
At 6:10, CGB was addressing the topic of net decking. I feel if anyone who builds a deck and then posts it, it then becomes the property of all of those who read/access it and the content creator. For those who complain about it, don't post what you come up with. It's that simple.
If credit is given to the person building it, that's all well and good.
Sometimes it's others' ideas that give insight and better strategies to others of any level of play.
Actually, that is a real nice and original deck... Congrats to the creator
Dude I don't want you bringing me just your decks to check out. I wanna see all the good decks that are out there bc yours is the only channel I visit.
lol your amazon link goes to an inflatable dragon costume....nice
Net decking is good and fine. In fact it is helpful to see your version of a meta game deck
Lol I for one don't care where you get the deck from. Just enjoy the content. Thanks for the daily content 😁
I spend days at a time brewing one deck for standard... BO1, or BO3, don't matter. Though standard is the healthiest it's been for nearly 2 years and is really fun to brew in/there's a variety of decks, it's tough coming up with something new every day like people think CGB could/ought to do.
Throw in a few escape spiders to mess with the rogues wahoooo!
The whole match against mono white I was wondering when there'd be a flyer, and then I saw Legion Angel
Ok ok you may net deck, kind of amusing to see you try to apply control strategy to an aggro deck sometimes (spoken with fondness, you have broadened my grasp of strategy and made me a better player over the last couple hundred videos). If i may offer a suggestion, knowing full well those are often disregarded, it would be neat to see an original deck periodically, perhaps like a day of the week you do your own material, another day for jank for fun, another day could be invested in fan decks- a follow up to deck doctor segment where you take one of our own favorites make it better and possibly even climb a rung. Then the rest of the week can be net decks or whatever. It is commendable that you always offer credit to your source. I am sure I will continue watching and supporting regardless but the fan deck idea sounds like fun... deck doctored. Thank you for all you do, i am addicted to the play by play real time strategy insights even if there are misplays on occasion it just makes you more identifiable to the rest of us misplayers.
I don’t mind net decks, most people use them, and I found out you can copy and still lose, I like seeing how you play!
The netdecking issues seems moot here. Frankly, I'm a fan of watching you because it lets me experience all of the different deck builds without having to build them myself. I'm able to better read the meta because you're not afraid of looking at the popular net decks, so just keep doing it. It's helpful!
CGB! I love the netdecking. You're the only mtg content creator I watch so I when you teach me about the latest league winning deck and show off how to use it it's great!
56:35 he could first strike the lovestruck beast then eat it with ooze i believe for lethal
He miss that
No, because beast is indestructible.
00:29:34 i actually run cling to dust in my rakdos deck for the mirror. Removing opposing oxen and kroxas can win the game
Isn't is better to look at net decks as archetypes in certain colours given a certain meta? I like what you do with decks, and showing varieties possible!
I think ur content is great regardless. I watch u because of your personality and the quality of content not bc of some deck
All good, cgb
Netdecking is good study material in figuring out what makes these decks strong.
Sam Elliott Finale, fantastic.
skyclave is meta-shaping, but not in a bad way. any white deck wants to be able to be play skyclave on 3 or 4 so you need 2 sources by then. This deck is really good with winota instead of inkeeper for your draw mechanics. you need GWWR on turn 4 and that isnt unrealistic with 2 pathways that crossover in naya. I skewed my winota deck GR, but it really needs to be GW winota red splash, esp since its a 4 drop.
The only reason I have a problem with net decking, is that it creates a meta that's easy to predict. I remember playing early on when I had no idea what to expect from an opponent, in person. When you see an opponent play a land and you can probably guess what they're playing, kind of takes the magic out of the thing. I know that's what Bo3 is for but still.
I threw in some glass caskets to slow down mono red
Not sure why you didn't shepherd your questing at 38:51 --- it still gets rid of the savior, denies their lifegain, saves your questing beast, and leaves 2 mana open to tap or get counters with ooze.
games start at 7:00
I really like this deck, most players don't know how to play against it
Actually prefer to see HOW a deck is played netdeck'ed or not. This is how I see if I would like to try it out myself. I prefer to see you playing because you talk through alot of your thought process while playing.
Oh and you hate red deck wins perhaps even more than I do...impressive
I am mythic thanks to CGB, not by copying decks (I play combo decks not control decks or aggro), but by improving my way of playing the game, you know, thinking is the key and knowing the cards is an other ^^' You can have a very nice deck if you don't play well you won't go far and you have to admit that every deck has many counter-decks so don't expect to win every game that is also a win con.
Did the opponent in the last match miss lethal? Ordering first strike to kill the beast, and then eating it from the graveyard with the unblocked ooze before the normal damage phase?
Cgb's nonangel creatures were indestructible
No. All Non-Angel creatures he controlled were indestructible due to Emeria's Call.
Oh, thanks! I knew I missed something.
Am I wrong in saying the 6-0 has to be best of 3 because I hit 6-0 with a black deck a couple months in best of one, no changes to deck made and it was never posted.
What makes MTG a good game is that it's never the same game twice.
Hi CGB, perhaps it would be nice to see the beats you get as well...I mean you show games against Rogues on 2 lands...or WW never drawing a Maul/Heliod in the whole game....yes, those I win too
Your awesome man, keep up the hard work. Let thee H8ers hate.
I watch CZcams MtG creators to build my own deck lists while I avoid the same cards... it’s an interesting way to learn about sleeper cards.
I know that you know it already, but people who complain about content creators netdecking are people who don't usually engage their brains before posting. Also, they are usually the individuals who think they could do better than (insert names here), but who will never even try to actually *do* anything. And, finally, when this criticism is leveled against you it's because they obviously don't pay attention to your videos: you're always tweaking little things here and there, and the explanations during the games are invaluable. So, in conclusion - thanks for your hard work!
