If I were to start riding today instead of 15 years ago this would be the bike that I would want. These bikes look great and they seem to have a decent amount of power. I started on a SV650S but I am jealous of the options new riders have today. Great choice Maxy. She's a lucky lady.
The sv 650s k3-8 is still a pretty nice bike tho..
@@roebinrider It was an 04 and you are right they are nice. I have had many bikes since then and currently have a Speed Triple and a CBR 1000rr and I still miss that SV. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about riding on it. Great bikes to start on.

That's what I mean.. It's a perfekt first bike. You get the opportunity from it to become a pretty skilled rider.
The street triple is a perfekt next step after having an sv I believe.

Does it matter this much how fast a bike is. I don't see the sense in having a 200 HP bike that goes 160 kmph in first gear on the streets.. Atleast not if you want to go for little tours trough twisty country roads. But I don't know how the roads are like in America so I can't tell how it is there.
I’m convinced the 600-700cc parallel twin pseudo sport bike class of motorcycles are the best and it’s not even close.
I started on a 01 R1 and now have a 2015 ninja 650, I hate the ninja 😂. Suspension sucks, power sucks, lights suck, ergos suck.

Uhm, that´s what Maxy calls breaking in. Aprilia´s advice is to not go over 7,5k rpm during the first 600 miles😬

I have a lava red RS660. My front sprocket fell off moving the bike around my shop. The bolt and retainer are gone. It’s been at the dealership for 2 weeks. I pick it up tomorrow. I was getting oil mist on the exhaust shield. They replaced the seal and everything else to hold on the sprocket.

I almost went with the Stars & Stripes. But I had to order my RS660. So I couldn't tell from the pictures if I really liked that color scheme. Ended up with Apex Black. Either way they are both super sexy.

It surprised me on my first ride after the flat spot it starts pulling at 7-7.5k rpm. I would love to sort that out one day but it's probably expensive 🤑
Sc projects full exhaust, velocity stacks and tune is supposedly the fix for it roughly $2500.
@@treyhorn6498 Well that's not cheap for sure. I was out for a ride just now and i don't think it bothers me to the point where i would drop 2.5k. But for the soundtrack alone that you get from that exhaust it might be worth it 😂

I think Aprilia makes some brilliant bikes. They are beautiful and they seem to have come a long way over the years. As much as I would love to own a new one I would NEVER spend my own hard earned dollars on one. They cost the same if not more that all competition and their resale value is really bad. Same things goes for if the bike is wrecked or stolen. Better hope you have gap coverage.

A Stars and Stripes RS 660 was my first bike. Good to see someone else enjoying it too. Just got my RSV4 and I still keep going back to the 660 just for the feel and nostalgia.
