Here's the thing, Alicia has a very specific voice which is hard to translate into other vocalists. So for me, Janis was the only one that worked. Everything else was just Alicia being her wonderful self

To be fair, I think they have a repertoire of at least five prepared songs and then draw two to three from there at random. The surprise factor is still there, but yes, of course they rehearse this or are prepared in advance.

I love it when I can successfully troll people and witness the current generation's status with grammar. When I went to school, learning how to correctly use English was a big deal. Especially with how low reading comprehension had been at the time. It was a national crisis with our K-12 programs and systems.
Today, that same status quo, which would have been shrieked out at as a national crisis, is now a commonplace practice; to improperly use grammar and the English language overall.
If you look carefully at my first post, I use a lot of exclamation marks and emphasizing words to exaggerate my point. To the comprehensive literate, this is an easy enough task to detect since my first post did not agree or disagree with the opening commentator's post. Rather, it was a joshing jab at the mere thought being talked about.
