  • After dealing with horrible storage conditions in my Jeep TJ, Ive finally solved this problem by adding a custom cargo rack in the back. And this setup doesnt block the soft top from dropping all the way down which makes it a game changer!
    Cargo Rack Dimensions: 42x20
    C Channell Steel: 3/16 thickness.
    3x3 Angle Steel thickness: 3/16"

Nice job. Yes it is a one off. But you have tools and talents that are not shared by all. So by showing "A" plan, it helps the rest of us to think of what we can do with our Jeep and our talents. Thanks

Thank you for the feedback. I really like what your saying. Do you think a downloable write up or a more “step by step” video would be the best help? I’m still really new to the idea of sharing the things I do in the shop and I’m learning as I go on what people would value most. I appreciate any input.

That is perfect for what I need and want to do to my LJ.

It has worked great for me so far. It has essentially doubled my useable space in the back.

I watch Jeep content, especially TJ/LJ content, and just came across your channel yesterday on YT. Sub’d and been watching a few videos thinking ‘man I’m glad I came across this guy’s channel’.
I have had a TJ since July 97 and acquired my 03 TJR on order at Gossett in Memphis fall 2002 pickup 2/4/03 so it’s safe to assume I’m a 2nd gen Wrangler guy. As far as feedback for your channel I don’t know how much time you have to invest on making content or what your plan is for your future but I like what you’re doing. Step by step videos mixed with trail videos and even content where you just cover general aspects of the vintage Jeep industry is what I personally find myself drawn to watch.
I have had a LJRS for ten years almost I’m building for my son who is currently six. Given industry covering TJ and LJ parts there should be a ton of content for you to do another build and have some sort of cool theme or story to the build. Your Sahara looks great and makes for a great tool to use in your content. I also really like 392 content, I am a big fan of V8’s in a Wrangler that’s why I put a C6 Corvette LS3 in my 03.

I appreciate the compliment! It’s appreciated more than you know. And your my kind of Jeep owner! One is never enough!! Haha. Coming up real soon, I have some great projects coming out. Full LS swap with TH400 RMVB for my TJ so I’ll soon be with you on the V8 lifestyle! And watch end of this month, I’ll be at SEMA covering everything new coming to market.

I live Reno/Tahoe and towed the LS TJ to Moab, Telluride, Ozarks and then Great SMJI where I met up with an old friend, Scott GoForth. He has the Vision Wheel booth shown toward the end of your video highlighting a black TJ at gsmji.. that’s his Black Super Duty behind the TJ. Anyway wish I had met some more people while I was there but omg that heat and the humidity was unreal. Bugs and way too many humans. I went to school at UT Knoxville from 98-02 then moved to Tahoe a few years after I graduated college. Tellico was the place to go in those days (now closed for ohv) and I actually helped Scott place Rattle Rock trail at Wind Rock OHV. Man that was probably back in spring 2001.

That’s not the worst idea! Maybe a custom drawer system in the rear!

I have that corner armor and did the same thing you did by utilizing the existing holes but I ended building a one off rack for the top. Can I ask what that sliding drawer and shelf system is or did you build that too?

That’s awesome! And the drawer slide is an ARB sliding drawer. It’s really nice to have for accessibility.
