Great video.
What SSD are you able to install in this unit?
Looks like an m.2 pcie nvme 2230, but those are super expensive for higher capacities like this amzn.to/2TormFS so I would recommend using the 2.5" sata slot instead and getting something like this. amzn.to/3kuwJOW it's really up to you though. The pcie nvme should be a bit faster, but I don't think it justifies that price difference.
wow thanks bro

I just gotta say that was a phenomenal tutorial quick question for you if you add a drive to the top did you have to go into the properties and extend it to be one drive or did you just leave it as a separate drive letter
What do you mean by on the top? The SSD?
looking before I upgrade my Nvme m.2. They fitted HYNIX 256gb. Was wondering if there is space for two, that way I can clone before swapping.
And what did you see? Were there two?
I'm always surprised when people ask for help to count. XD You can use a usb nvme enclosure to do it. The other option is to clone to a data drive then install the SSD and clone again.
@@ItsBinhRepaired nope only one 2280
@@ItsBinhRepaired well I made a Disk image using windows 11 to SSD which restored fine.
@@SmartGadgetShow awesome!
The four holes in the back can be used also for vesa arm of 100mm x 100mm or aren't screw?
I believe that's what they're for.
Hello. Thanks for they clarity of description and explanation in this video. This might sound like a daft question, but I really have no idea about this stuff. My 7440 has a 256GB SSD. Am I able to simply install an additional 2.5inch SATA drive to increase storage?
It'll appear as an additional drive if you do it that way. This will help with upgrading instead. czcams.com/video/4p5jFDzVwUw/video.html

Do you know Where the Internal microphone is located? a picture of internal microphone board? Thx
No idea. Usually along the outside edge. Look for a little hole in the frame/edge of the computer.
ur the best
Thanks!
Is this the model with the touch screen? Is it 10 point multi-touch capacitive?
All I know is what's in the video, beyond that and you're asking me to Google what you could Google yourself lol
hi, is the stand for optiplex 7780 and 7480 the same exact thing?
Not sure
i have XPS 7760 with core i7 6700, can i upgrade it to new CPU like gen 8 or higher ?
No
I have a XPS 7760 AiO. Do you know where can I find instructions to pull off the back? I am swapping the HDD with SSD and maxing the RAM. I did not think getting into the case was going to be the hard part.
@Espo1438 I don't know
I can install 120GB xbox 360 sata 2.5 inch drive into this optiplex 7470 in the hard drive disk bay, right?
In the service manual, it says to not only turn off computer and remove electrical outlets and remove network cables first (which are pretty obvious steps to me), but then it says to open the display, hold the power button for a few seconds, and remove the express/smart card before removing the stand. What does opening the display mean? Where is the express/smart card? Did you do any of those things before taking off stand of your desktop? Do I need to do any of those other steps prior to removing stand? Why does it include those other steps?
What do I have to install/uninstall prior to inserting my xbox 360 2.5 inch sata drive?
What else do I need to know?
Any 2.5" sata drive that fits should work. I recommend an SSD. All you have to do is follow my video.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I guess I’m that case, I don’t have to open the display and/or remove express/smart cards to install SATA drive.
@@japowger definitely not
@@ItsBinhRepaired What do u mean by definitely not? We’re u saying that in agreement or disagreement with my statement?
@@japowger you only have to remove what you need to remove to get to it.
Can you change the GPU? And if yes, where does it go?
No
fantastic design on these ones, its a world of difference compared with the extremely shitty design in the HPs AIO
They all very
Do you have a spare stand for this model? (i'm in sf)
Nope
Does Otiplex series use same ram as PC ram?
It uses what I showed in the video.
is this computer support m.2 NVMe PCIe with cpu i3 6100?
All I know is what's in the video.
Hi, I'm looking for resetting the password of the BIOS, the admin-password. I want to change the boot-order of the machine. In your video at 10:30 you show the jumpers and some description on the board. I have here an Optiplex 7780 AiO, but I do not see these jumpers nor the description. I do have something like a chip (does not look like a jumper) which is labeled BIOS. What can I do? Removing the battery does not help.
No idea
Where are your anti-static discharge precautions? You know when you scuff your feet across carpet and touch your TV you get a shock? The static discharge is easily 120 volts. It only take 5 volts of static electricity to damage a component. 5 volts you wouldn't even feel. You should have the PC on a mat, a strap on your wrist and a common ground to both connected to the ground on an A/C outlet. Also, you should avoid touching solid state the devices, especially the gold fingers as oil from your hands will be transferred and may easily damage a component.
Working in the garage, no carpet, with flipflops, knee against a metal desk with a metal frame chair. Gold isn't affected by finger oils. It would only be an issue if the gold is scrapped off. I've never had an issue in the thousands and thousands of devices I've worked on. In fact, I've even fixed RAM issues by wiping them down and those issues haven't come back...
I understand you want to take extra precaution, but don't worry, it's fine. Also, if the stuff were that sensitive, almost every custom built pc should be dead.
which i7 Processor are compatible with this motherboard ?
Not sure
Are the 7780 and 7770 the same?
Not sure
can we use 3.5 inch HDD?
You tell me. Where would you put it?
no
Haha
Have 7777 , How would I physically disconnect Microphone? Thanks
Not sure. Have to follow the wire to the microphone holes.
The instructions R there? Right!!!
Hm?
Just like that?
?
It is a 2230ssd
Nice, thanks!
Bruh its single channel ram
There's no such thing as single or dual channel ram... it's just how the motherboard uses it. If you put one stick it'll run in single channel. If you use two it'll be dual channel.
@@ItsBinhRepaired sorry I only saw one slot for ram
@@aran_200 I see lol
@@ItsBinhRepaired was there more than 2 slots or just 2
@@aran_200 just 2
