This is when real musicians wrote and sang and played there own instruments....real talent...unlike today's youngters that can't read a scale or play a note of sheet music...a entirely different time of true musicianship....period
Billy u made a great 👍 valid point about some of the youngsters of today who can't read a note or a scale and back in the era of the late eighties era that was when real music was written the lyrics were genuine and musicians wrote their own music/lyrics. I'm about that today I from time to time deal with writer's block but I'm doing better and getting back into it. But true musicianship is missing today what I mean is that it's not much of it it needs to go back where true music was music no matter what era or genre of music was playing.
Really not their fault, in a lot of ways. Many of the platforms and sources for real music education were taken away before they had a chance to really get the training they needed. Add to that the technology that made it, arguably, too easy for just about anyone to get a hold of it.

I definitely remember this song. This song and Tina Moore's Color Me Blue were in heavy rotation. That being said, Norwood was model material. So glad that I found this and to think I was listening to a Fourplay concert and decided to plug in Pieces of a Dream for Nikki's Smile. I will be playing this because it makes me smile.
